I remembered another game. Metal Fatigue. Too bad there's no remake or sequel, as that game was epic.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident... this game is awesome. truly epic space battles!
It was originally supposed to be Imperium Galactica 3 (there was even a demo released under that name) but it later became Nexus instead. Very tactical, no base building or anything, and it just has this beatiful style to it. Best explosions ever too! |
too bad only a few people know this game. it's really awesome. and what you've written here about it, describes just a little part of it. unfortunately, it's only downside is the story!

Aye, I ADORE the Nexus game. I was really blown away by how indepth it was (especially the mission where you had to cloak your ship and navigate towards a supposedly derelict station, that was tense as fuck!)

People!!
Rise of nations is the best!
Complex but playable and well balanced. There are still players on multi. you will never ever see such a complex RTS, THX to consoles and casual players.

Gernals was when I stopped liking the CnC games. I didn't like how it strayed out of their usual theme and I hated what EA did to the games, especially the view on generals as you didn't seem to fit a whole lot on the screen. Personally I've just a very huge fan of the tiberian theme though I hated CnC 3, thought it was horrid crap.
My favorite is Tiberian Sun/Firestorm, god I played those for hours and hours. The whole apocalypse dirty broken machines theme made me giddy.
