NeHoMaR, the game is DX9. Try Refresh Lock to lock refresh rate.

Refreshlock doesn't works with this game, and "curiously" the same happens with every game in DX10 mode; That was exactly the reason making me to think about this game is running in DX10.

Then try RivaTuner's refresh rate overrider.

My XBOX 360 controller(wired) is not working with this game. Why? It works with Fifa 09, GTA IV, Mirror's Edge..It's not even listed in available devices in game.

Sadly is the only thing i HATE from this version...you CANT restart but pressing L1+R1 (Gamepad?),or "Change Song + R1" (Dunno how's the PC version controls with a pad r like with PS3/X360). That way you can crash ya car, make it so you dont crash to any other car, then wait till the turbo meters empties down..ya done,go back to the race beginning

Sorry

You can restart. Press Numpad 6 during the race, if you lose it's too late. Wink

By pressing the D-Pad you can select to replay a failed race. (Even after the race ends and you are free roaming).

Well, for me, the most fun feature is the LS+RS, where you go jumping on busses and cars Laughing whatever it's called.

Just keep driving straight. Those "time trials" are for the section of ROAD you're on. Just keep driving straight, don't take any turn offs, and you'll reach the end.

I've not played Road Rage yet, so haven't had the chance to do REAL takedowns .... though I *always* use takedowns during a normal race. Something intensely satisfying about ploughing your opponents into the wall at 200mph Very Happy

The one mode that I hate is Marked Man It is just impossible to win with speed or stunt car, you always have to take the armored wagons that drive 50 mph, and even then you are not safe from the two "civilian driver" tanks that respawn behind you every 10 seconds. Neutral

I always use stunt or speed cars, even for MM... Easiest way to win is to use the shortcuts (AI doesn't follow there) whenever possible.

Yup, it doesn't matter what speed you're going... those two black cars WILL go faster. You're only real, non hair-pulling, chance is to jump in a strengthy aggressive car and ram the fuckers off the road.

This game sure gets boring fast. All the tracks from beginning just repeat through whole game. I'm on A licence and its same thing, only difference is that difficulty is harder and you need to win more tracks. And even driving is worse than at start, you get super fast cars and you are crashing all the time, and when you aren't your just using walls to get through corners because you normally don't have enough time to drive normally while dodging traffic and opponents.

Heard about braking / drifting through corners? I'm on Class A too before you ask.

Think i'd get there in a day without braking / drifting? Point is that you get through corners faster (and safer) with wall hugging that with braking since the damage you take is negligible. Besides that, i'm not crashing on corners, I'm crashing on straights where you don't have enough time to dodge traffic. Well, I can still win races with 3-4 crashes, problem is when I make a wrong turn somewhere, then Its over.

Btw, I hate that railway tracks for that reason, I've lost countless races because of i've stranded on it. Mad

It's most likely Zone Alarm or another Firewall blocking in the background. ALT TAB to the zonealarm window or go and configure your firewall at first, than start the game.

the only burnout game I've played is PSP.. if the PC version has catch-up mechanics like that, its garbage. Any racing game with catch-up mechanics is crap.

Maybe it´s because of the resolution, at 1920x1200 i get a 40-45 regardless or 8xaa or no aa at all.

is it me or this game need some sort of gps? sometime i get lost and once i realized it there´s not turning back since the other cars are already on the finish line lol, it´s quite frustrating to be honest. Guess it´s s matter of knowing the city a bit more.
