Just create a new account, or use an existing EA one, and away you go!

What are the Freeburn Challenges in bike mode and where do you find them (perhaps online only)?

why don't you keep a dual boot with xp/vista?
use that w7 stuff for browsing, or whatever you need it for (..?) and use the other os for games.

I'll have a look around, see what turns up. I would suggest, if you're not already, that you run the ATi/nVidia releases of the VISTA driver, rather than the one that comes with Win7 or via Win7's Update.

Yeah sabin i figured out something,
i deleted the autologin of the account in the local apps folder and it lets me play single player,
so something is making it crash when it tries to get into the criterion server, cause single player works fine.
I have no firewall or antivirus running, and i have it on the exception list...

I am using nvidia beta drivers from guru3d, i always keep my drivers updated to the latest beta.

*new*
also when i run single player, after playing awhile the game crashes to desktop as well.

I should disagree my friend. There are no way I can override refresh rate in my CTR monitor for this game, and that only happens in games running in DX10 mode.

*chuckles*

I don't care what you disagree with, my friend, it's NOT a DirectX 10 game. It's DirectX 9 pure and simple.

A quick look with this application http://www.dependencywalker.com/ show you that it depends on D3D9.DLL and D3DX9_37.DLL,... and not DX10 dlls. But to implement SSAO, they should really had used DX10, at least it would be playable.

Sweet Jesus.

Mate, trust us ok? It. Is. Not. DirectX 10. Period.

You're pathetic. We tried to tell you, repeatedly, but you wouldn't listen and then made a silly demand for "proof without people's word or the internet"

What did you want us to do? Decompile the game and show the distinct lack of DX10 API calls? :-\

When you're ingame, press ESC and then use F1/F2 to cycle through the menus. I recommend assigning those keys to your gamepad once you're done, it makes browsing the menus SO much easier.

Is there a settings file like in mirrors edge where you can tweak more than just the standard gfx settings?

Should be where the game saves are but I can't find those either.

Found it but theres no extra settings. Sad

C:\Documents and Settings\???\Local Settings\Application Data\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise

Useless and pointless flaming, people like you are very common in forums. I will ignore next post you do about this.

Refreshlock doesn't works with this game, and "curiously" the same happens with every game in DX10 mode; That was exactly the reason making me to think about this game is running in DX10.
