Delayed almost a year, till holiday times Q4 this year, to be released at the same time as the console version (will probably end up after console version lol). I needed a reminder why I hated EA, thanks.
Ps. Game is pretty much done so its solely because EA wants to sell more console copies and then blame PC for the lower sales on piracy.

Down with multiplayer nonsense, long live singleplayer!
I really hope this'll be a great success.
Yes. Because, as we all know. . . multiplayer sucked so much on Neverwinter Nights and Bauldur's Gate II, why even bother right?
I'm deeply upset over this personally.
If there is anyone that CAN do multiplayer right in an RPG, it is Bioware.
This is a step backwards imho.
EDIT: oh well. A least there is still a toolset. I am still rather miffed over no multiplayer though. I had too much fun playing coop on NWN and BG II. This one, most likely, won't be a purchase by me. Besides. It sounds like there's a good chance it may become consolized now. I will have to wait and see on this one.

I doubt its ea pulling their strings that will delay the game, normally they are the ones pushing for early release. More probable explanation to me is that they have their hands full with their other projects so Dragon Age is left behind like it was when they were working on mass effect.
Personally, I'm tired of RPGs that have got multiplayer modes. Why? Because multiplayer ALWAYS takes preference, both in design and end-game support/addons.
Fuck that bullshit. I just want to play a good, engrossing, SINGLE PLAYER role-playing game.

That wasn't true for Baldur's Gate II. Thus, your statement is not accurate.
I will admit NWN's single player game wasn't that great. But the mods and stuff more than made up for it.
But, if they did it once they could have done it again.
Hopefully they don't cut the nuts completely off it for consoles.
Besides. I just read where one of the devs was saying they wanted to focus on the first game being single player to really introduce the lore and background and that future games may indeed have multiplayer in them.
I wasn't really looking for anything like a DM client again, but I would have thoroughly enjoyed playing the game coop with my sons like we did BG II a while back. That wouldn't have bothered you being able to play with yourself.

I'm not bashing you, nor anyone else that enjoys MP, I just prefer SP RPGs to ... well.. BE singleplayer RPGs. NWN was the perfect example of how MP took massive preference over the SP and it was only via the use of many, many mods that it became more balanced between the two gamemodes.

I didn't like that NWN's single player sucked so bad.
But, i was hoping they could replicate what they did with BG II where we had a great story that wasn't impeded by coop play through the same story.
Obviously, more people would rather they focus on SP because that is what they are doing. i just think we could have had both because they have done it before.
I will still, most likely, keep my preorder in since we will at least have a toolset with single player modules and what not.

Obviously it's just my personal opinion, since I care only for the singleplayer (nothing against those who're into MP, it's just not my thing). + what Sabin said.
New screens, semi-naked chicks and furry critters.
EDIT: More seriously it looks like a Dryad and some Gnolls.
(There's other stuff in those screens as well such as various forms of undead monsters and general scenery and even some dialogue interactions and character details.)

God, this game looks fantastic. Excellent visuals.

I like when people use the term "consolized," because it's a way for me to automatically know that they're PC fanboys whose opinions I can happily overlook.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.

So the reason why you felt compelled to quote him was...?

Well Einstein, you'd be happily surprised to know I own PS2, Wii, 2 Xbox 360's (one in my office, and one in my son's room), PSP, Nintendo Game Cube, Nintendo DS, 5 computers, 1 laptop, and a partridge in pear tree.
I am a fan of games. Especially when it comes to RPG's. Deus X II turned me against what can happen on Consoles. Reading that Homeworld 3 could be too complex for consoles turned me against what can happen on a console. When companies start talk about the possibilty of leaving out toolsets because Console players bitch about not having the same thing it turns me against what can happen on a console. If you honestly sit there and think that games have not become simplified for consoles, then it is a way for me to automatically know that you're an ignorant person whose opinions I will happily overlook as well.
The best way to happily overlook a comment is to not comment on it. Starting now.
Let's see how long you can last.

Fuck. This was the one game I was looking forward to the most. I need another Baldur's Gate. God damn it this is depressing.
I hope an irate employee leaks it. Fuck.
EA needs another giant competitor because like this it is only a matter of time before it owns nearly the whole godamn business.milking franchises, considerably dumbing down games to "please a bigger audience" $$$$$$$, really enslaving "copy protections" that end up enslaving the legit customer and making him use cracks to play his game, this generation's consoles are taking over the first seats when it comes to releases, serious bollocks but what can we do, this subject has a lot of bullshit that comes with it.

i bitched about the lack of multiplayer over at the bioware forums about this game ages ago. i pointed out how if NWN had not been a multiplayer game, it would very likely be a dead game and out of print, but it is not and the reason is the MP and the ambitious DM client.
no one should be surprised, Bioware has clearly abandoned multiplayer, which is a total shame since all the R&D they put into NWN is clearly wasted. Kotor, Mass Effect, Jade Empire, none are multiplayer games (and i have not bought or played any of these titles).
as near as i can tell, if you went to the store to buy one of these games NWN diamond would probably cost the most (at least on Amazon), and is the only one the DRM has been removed from.
just 2 cents i wanted to add, and no i wont be buying Dragon Age or any game without co-op or multiplayer.
