Steam counts is a little bit higher, due to some games counting as more than one entry (for instance, Dark Messiah has separate SP and MP entries), but my practical total is 49 games. I love Steam. My next planned purchases are Zeno Clash, Age of Booty (assuming it comes to Steam), and Watchmen: The End is Nigh.
Here's my list, in case anyone is curious:
Spoiler: | Alien Shooter: Vengeance
Bejeweled Deluxe
Commander Keen Complete Pack
Counter-Strike
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero - Deleted Scenes
Counter-Strike Source

Deathmatch Classic
Doom 2

I think there are genuine arguments against STEAM, even as a STEAM supporter myself. Someone I know had his account hacked, got done for cheating, and now all his multiplayer titles are invalidated on that account. There's no way, literally no way, of getting this revoked.
Things like that aren't exactly encouraging.
That said; I still think STEAM's pros outweigh the cons.

Really, get the fuck off the internet and please blow your brains out.
30-ish or 40-ish here, can't be bothered to count. |
Uh... just because he dosen't like their service he should kill himself?
Got one game from them, Red Orchestra and it was a missed buy. |
He said that every game on Steam wasn't even good enough to be worth a dowload. I don't care if he doesn't like Steam, but if he says that the Half-Life series (along with a lot of other good game) are so bad they're not even worth a download, I have to respond like that.

Yeah and those kind of women tend to be absolutely useless in a crisis. At least Valve didn't go the typical route of games developers by putting in an ultra sexualized yet totally unrealistic female lead.

Here here! That really pisses me off aswell. If I want to look at scantily clad women there are plenty of other places to go. I assume they add these ridiculous characters to sell games to adolescent boys. Pretty sad imo.

I have a grand total of 0.
Nothing against steam or valve, but I only play a few games a year now if that
and even those not so frequently - so it's not really worth it.

After getting Mayhem Intergalactic and Mount & Blade this weekend, I'd say I have around 95-100 true games. My Community page says 104, but that's counting various mods and map packs and not counting the individual Commander Keen games (or Sam & Max S1E4, for some reason).
I do tend to prefer retail boxes, but now-a-days most PC publishers don't put much more than a disc in them, and a lot of the games I get on Steam are hard/impossible to find at stores and are often quite cheap. If you get over the initial fear of losing your entire game library for some arbitrary reason, Steam is a pretty good service.
