lololol, noob
After a few youtube videos are posted you can put them on a repeated playlist on fullscreen high quality and pretend you're playing, moving the mouse pressing keys etc. It works, I tested it with Crysis and the expansion !

Lucky for you the original DoW is an awesome game for 7.50
Been playin' the beta a little bit, it's very different from DoW, a lot more like CoH : Opposing Fronts(Brit team), but you're base is immobile.
Space Marines feel slow and don't really have a lot of hard hitting units against vehicles, they still devastate infantry. Dreadnoughts are so-so. Predator feels the same as it did in DoW.
Orks are well rounded on the infantry side, their vehicles are rubbish. Tankbustas rock, as do Looters.
Eldar to my surprise are very fun, though I hated them in DoW. Lots of teleporting and pew pew lasers. Vehicles are some of the best.
Nids are pretty unique, I suppose they'll remind SC vets of zerg (or rather zerg reminded warhammer vets of nids), but they really don't play the same.
Runs better than both regular CoH & Opposing Fronts do on my system. Q6600/8800GTX/2Gb Vista 32bit. Whatever article said you'd need 4 gigs of ram was full of shit, full system usage (TinyVista if you're familiar, I'd say Vista's using 300mb) about 1.4gb in a 3v3 on my rig.
At first I didn't care for it because I had to get around the whole no more building bases thing. Now it's starting to grow on me. Sure wish it'd ship with more than 5 maps, but they've said they'll be sending them out as free DLC anyway.
Edit; for any losers out there, it requires SM 3.0, you can get that on 50$ graphics cards nowadays.

It only recently leaked so give it some time to spread, thought I doubt it's usable without a valid serial.
(Normally you would either buy Soulstorm or use the original cd-key from it via Steam to get the beta, funny that they use Steam and LIVE, from what I've read at least.)
EDIT: Seems to be online play only so a valid key is definitively needed.
(No idea if LIVE keys actually work, seems to use the Soulstorm key for the beta, public access will go up on the 28th though so I guess it's possible to grab the files now and play immediately once the public beta begins.)
EDIT: Assuming the public beta doesn't require a key either and there's only a limited amount of them from "premium" sites like Fileplanet, has happened before.

Yes the beta will open for everyone on the 28th January from what I've read (It's in that Steam announcement I posted as well), probably still requires a valid key though and those might be limited (First come first serve, that kinda thing.)
EDIT: This.

Also beginning today, the full version of Dawn of War II may be pre-purchased via Steam. And on January 28, the beta is scheduled to open to gamers around the world (free of charge via Steam).

Haha I remember I had two friends with slow PCs and I used to spam with Orcs on the original DoW just to hear them scream at 2-3 fps

So is it leaked yet?
Or no one is going to bother with early beta?

As I mentioned the client itself appears to have been uploaded to a few sites but I doubt it's of much use due to the serial check.
(Online multiplayer only, no LAN or skirmish modes.)

I had a steam popup saying that i'd have to input a serial but the game never asked me for it. Oh and you can play against the CPU if you want. It's pretty weak though.

For anyone looking for more info about the game, here is a 4 page thread from their forums:
http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=212398
Pretty much, sentiment is overly negative except for the fanbois, who will of course defend it to death.
I pretty much agree with the negatives. I love everything Warhammer and everything Relic, but they just fucked up with this game. Too shallow, too many technical issues, just way too much bad in it. You might have fun with it at 1 or 2 LAN parties, but after that you'll just uninstall. I won't be buying it... just waiting for Starcraft 2.

People summed it up: DoW2 = Poor CoH mod/clone. Add no advanced modding like we have enjoyed in DoW1 since the beginning and you got a lemon sequel.

I've gotten a bit more into it, but yea, I know I'd like it a lot more if they would get rid of this victory point BS and give us back bases.
Victory point games are -WAY- too fast. By the time your enemy turns it around it's over because they didn't have the resources to push back.
