|
 |
So I just realized, just nearly about ALL my console games have been bought used. I never buy them new unless their cheap as hell already. What's the point? Couple hair marks on the disk, whoopy, I just saved 30 bucks.
Anyone else have a thing for the case/cover art/manual being in tip top condition or your won't buy it?
I've been trying to find the collectors edition of zelda on GC (the 4 games in one) and the only place that had it by me was gamestop and wanted 30 bucks for it. Just the game, no case, no manual, nothing, just the case. Fucking rip off. My GF some how managed to find me a copy in near mint condition at another gamestop, case manual cover art everything in near new conditon. Funny thing is, she got THAT for 30 at gamestop. I can't stand these dipshit companies that'll buy games from people who no case, no manual, nothing, and give the same amount to someone who brought theres in with all that, but they still sell both at the same price.

Well, just another reason not to buy games. Zelda is worth the money tho, but its not supporting the devs when you buy it from a place like gamestop. They have way to much profit on the games they sell.
Anyway, Zero Punctuation vid of gamestop FTW ^^

PS: zelda windwaker is one of the best zelda's ever. i liked the cartoon style ... |
I own it, but I was being very prejeduce against it due to the art style even though im a huge fan of zelda. The only zelda I ever thought was gay as hell was majora's mask. I plan on playing through windwaker once I get it back from my cuzin

Platform gaming is pretty great, when it comes to gameplay Zelda is a real winner^^
Anyway, why don't you get a Wii and try out The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Or is it just a remake for Wii. Tried it, and I was pretty impressed at least.

Twighlight was for gamecube then remade on the Wii.
Personally I have no intention on getting a Wii, im not a fan of the throw a controller around the room to play a game nor do I have room for it. But yes, zelda is my all time favorite game ever, I've played them all and I own them all (except the hand helds, which I plan on getting those too once I get the gameboy player for my cube) I only made it to the water temple till I got distracted by something else. Bought my GF a cube recently so she didn't have to borrow mine but she's been addicted as hell to twighlight princess (using her kids Wii to play the cube version)
The only other contender to those games is metroid prime which is an amazing fucking game. Own both of those on cube too and currently playing through them.

Gamestop makes about $0.20 per new release they sell... I used to manage one. They make WAYYY more money selling used games, ripping the customer off by giving them $8 for a game they will sell for $40.

In fact I see no reason not to pirate consoles games. Especially consider how nearly all the console games on the market are dumbed down and merely worth the cost of a verbatim. |
I only buy games that are fun regardless. None of the games I have on cube are dumbed. Most if not all require thought.
As for 360, yes, I don't see a point in buying more than most the games. 80% of them are crap anyways.

you didnt chip your cube ?
i also prefer to play gamecube games on a wii as you can make multigame dvd's which actually use the whole capacity of the disk. this was not the case with the cube's ridiculous mini laser.

I don't bother with modifying systems. I make enough money to where if I like a game I can go buy it. I don't need any lame excuses like half the members here just because they don't want to spend the cash. That's all it is plain and simple, their too cheap to buy.

I buy games all the time. Nothing wrong with it.
And it has nothing to do with being rich.
Especially when your buying shitty used games. Id never buy a used game. I mean, if you cant afford to buy em new, then its cool.
But if you can afford it, new is the way to go.
