Ok I've borrowed an original version of this game of my mate to see what the online game play is like, but there is a slight problem now. The game will not activate. Says it's been installed to many times so it's been returned to my mates a few hours ago. So I've tried uninstalling the game,ran the Securom uninstaller, installed the Razor1911 release and updated the game to the lastest version. Copied over the cracked file and now the game is asking for a valid serial Sad

Does anyone know of a propper way to uninstall Securom DRM so I can continue playing Far Cry 2 single player ? It's driving me nuts.

This is one of the problems with DRM activation methods unfortunately. Sad

Revoking the SecuROM information should be done automatically by uninstalling the game while being connected to the net but there's a utility on the bottom of this site that will do it for you.

However by uninstalling SecuROM you might have accidentally wiped your license information and in that case revoking is impossible.
(You need to contact the publisher - in this case Ubisoft - and explain to them, probably mentioned in the link above.)

I don't think the latest patch was ever cracked either and using a older crack with a recent update might cause other problems.

Hope this helps but it's a somewhat tricky situation.
