It was a pretty huge disappointement imo. Animations are horrible, especially while on foot. Not to mention the controls for when you're on foot, they are just.. Bad.

The on-foot controls are so rushed that I'm really worried about the quality of the rest of the game. I hope that the other new features won't feel as tacked on as this and that we don't get a typical EA copy-and-past successor.

This game is tons better than the first. But, to believe me you have to try the following glitch...

This will allow you to get outside of the skatepark. I had troubles doing it, but finally I made it outside. Very nice city to look forward to. Thanks EA Black Box!

Like it but hate the camera angle and also the view which cuts out the four corners of the screen, sure it simulates someone behind you filming you but I don't care for that, hope it can be changed in retail?

I wouldn't get your hopes up. The orignal skate had the same (or very similar) camera and it couldn't be changed afaik. I find it easier riding regular than goofy, not sure why but camera seems better.

I just played skate 2 demo and i had a lot of fun, i normally dont play any skate games so i am new to this game and the genre in general, is skate 1 the same vibe, music, gameplay etc? maybe i am gonna play that one before skate 2 gets out.

Skate 2 is basically more of the same. Better in some areas, worse in some.

Yeah, I'm seeing it as a more refined version. I've not found it worse in any place yet. The walking around is less than great but considering it wasn't an option in the original then its a good move.
Plus the way you can move objects pretty much turns the world into your playground. I think they'll be some pretty nuts user submitted stuff.
Loving the ability to do plants, lip tricks and the like as well. Something very obviously wrong with the first.
All in all, I figure this is what Skate should have been in the first place but probably due to time constraints it never happened (until now)

Supposedly they said in previews and such there will be more than one camera, with a more traditional 3rd person camera possible, higher and further back.......

yeah, be keeping my eyes peeled. Would be nice for an early release but I've personally ordered it anyhow so will arrive on Wednesday with a bit of luck.
Was watching a PS3/Xbox360 comparison video and think we're better off with the 360. There's a lot more going on in the world such as perdestrians and traffic.
