Off-topic, but I borrowed Medieval II & Kingdoms from a friend in anticipation of E:TW, and I was wondering if there are any superb mods like the Total Realism was for Rome? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I can't wait to play as the America. I plan on taking the fight back to England and making the king beg for mercy! I will make the American Empire take over the world and spread freedom and democracy whether they want it or not! God bless America and no place else!

Ok, get Medieval Total War 2 and its expansion, Kingdoms to see what its about.
Its THE BEST strat game out there. No game can compete.
I love colonization too, but its nothing like TW games. And Empire is gunna fuckin be sooooo good.
This is a game to buy for sure (hence ive already bought it lol ). |
I know about the Total War series, I meant this video up there where you play as the colonists and try to gain independence it reminded me of Colonization (still haven't played the remake ) |
Ah, i getcha. But way way better tho man. There's no combat like there is in TW.
U should give the new Colonization a try, its pretty fun. I enjoy it. |

And who knows, Cartoon may show up with his boys and then your royally (excuse the pun) fucked muahahahahaha lol 
Still, we should play online. Take turns. One round you be the yanks, i be the english, then we switch (cuz the americans have better fire power in the later stages of the game).
And there are also other countries you can play as to. Thats just one aspect of it, the revolution thing.
But I gotta practise first. Gotta get to know how to use my units (since its all gun units now, not like previous TW games) and especially gotta practise the sea battles. So give me a week to get familiar than we shall battle for supremecy on the North American Continent!
Plus, I wanna play through the solo campaign a few times with different countries (america, english and whatever other countries that they have that i like. Im hoping germany and spain).

Reinstalled everything to give this mod a shot. What a wonder it is!
Its hard to believe the amount of work devoted fans will put into things like this. Wow. just wow.
Anyway, I am also looking forward to Empire.

DX10 games only shoot themselves in the foot as many still today refuse to go to Vista. It hurts sales in the end because you lose 100% of customers still on XP. I don't think your going to see anyone make that mistake anymore.

I don't follow, what game lost 100% of customers still on XP, was there ever a DX10 exclusive game that I don't know about?

Halo 2 and that other game (Shadow Run?) required Vista but the games were DX 9 only and had no support for DX10.

most games I know that support DX10 also have the feature of running DX9.
I prefer DX10 as my card is compatible and i have vista (which has yet to give me a single problem as I maintain my machine).
CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!
Already bought it. Just waiting for it to come out.

I suggest you try a MP game with me. We both promise not to attack each other and we also sign in blood a pact, to make sure the deal is stronger. At the first sign of attack from the opponent we quit, turn off PC, leave home and hide in the most miserable and isolate bar in teh city, until the thought that we might have been defeated fades away.
