haha nab
a crack released 3 days ago. Mirrors.Edge-RELOADED, remember..
and 2day Mirrors.Edge.Update.1.01-RELOADED |
And your point would be... What? It depends on if the Chinese release is a seperate scene release or just a re-pack of the reloaded release with Chinese language files. Almost certainly it's a seperate Chinese scene release, which (again almost certainly) means a seperate cracked exe. Which means all the people here who can't get the Reloaded crack to work might be able to use the Chinese release.
What, about that, makes me a 'nab'?
Muppet.

complete format (not because of ME) the game runs fine when using the original fixed exe 1.0 but as soon as I throw 1.1 in there I now get an error asking for the Mirrors Edge disk followed by (when clicking continue) the Windows error...
running the update.exe then moving 1.1=asking for disk
just moving 1.1=asking for disk
totally ballin'

Weird...
I got bored, so I poked the reloaded Crack
Clean install of M.E, followed by the new PhysX drivers, followed by the 1.1 patch, and then copy over the 1.1 cracked exe. = Runs perfectly, near as I can tell. Weird some people can't even get into the game. :/

this is what I did...
Installed my video drivers (181.22)
Loaded up daemon tools, mounted the image to G, it autoran, i opened the keygen, hit generate, closed it, hit next x3...It installed, I copied over the fixed 1.1 exe and ran the game, asking for the disk, same if it is mounted, same if i run the update then copy the exe
yet it all works fine if I just use reloaded's original 1.0 but obviously that isn't an option..
...XP 64bit...

Hm I noticed something with the scyscraper reflections on the windows.
The game looks like that for me on WinXP @ max details, physx enabled, 4xMSAA:
Spoiler: | |
But after watching the attract video in the extras section, I noticed much much better reflections in the windows:
Spoiler: | |
I haven't played the 360 version so I can't make a comparison
I'd like to know now is this
- my problem?
- general pc version problem?
- or simply pimped up (beta) graphics of the attract video?

Hmm... Okay. What graphics card you got? Is there some reason you're not installing the updated PhysX drivers?
(and by PhysX drivers, I mean - PhysX_9.09.0010_SystemSoftware (google it). M.E installs the previous version, and an update was brought out to correct some random stuff.)

Been playing for a while and I think that this game could really have been amazing if they ditched the combat altogether and allowed the gamespace to be open ended.
Who knows... maybe if they release some kind of mod tool.

CTDs anyone?
I had two random ones already, no error message. One during training, one during the first mission introduction video.

What level is that from? Every roof top looks the same so it would be hard to get people to really compare unless you can give a little more detail on the level that picture is from. This will also maybe get you some info so we can tell if it is a nVidia or ATI issue.

It's likely just pimped up graphics for attraction video, but seeing as this is UE3, there SHOULD be a way to improve the reflections. We just have to find out what line to tweak or add.

They should've used some AA if they made it look better. And yeah tell us what level so we can check for ourselves.

Was crashing out still but rather to desktop than hanging with the new reloaded crack and physX on, but the new Nvidia beta's have stopped that for anyone with the same trouble.

It's a pr action to smooth their shots and videos in order to make the hype going and the anticipation up high. As i recall crysis looked way too different comparing real ingame videos and those shown during presentations, conferences and on crytek's site before releasing the game. Most of the companies do so.

This is E3 video, they could have disabled them prior to release due to performance reasons. Both screenshots look like using cube maps for reflection, so they probably just lowered the quality and the number of the cube maps.

Have to say that Win2K compatibility and latest drivers worked for me too. Too bad I'm a multi-tasking person and Alt-Tab seems to make the game hang.
