...in release names?
For example:
Pineapple.Express.2008.UNRATED.DVDRip.XviD-FRAGMENT
or
The.Alphabet.Killer.LIMITED.DVDRip.XviD-NeDiVx
or
Linewatch.STV.DVDRip.XviD-BULLDOZER.
And what means WS, PDTV, HDTV, x264...?

STV means TV movie [lame as fuck don't download... usually sci-fi tv movies which suck balls]
WS is wide screen [way it was meant to be watched ]
FS is full screen 4:3 [cut to fit the screen]
Unrated means it differs from a theatrical release (IE. Rated ones are prolly rated R while Unrated wouldn't pass MPAA rating system [more swearing, more blood, gore, sex, etc])
Limited means a limited release.
no clu on this tho PDTV HDTV X264. I don't fiddle with that shit.

PDTV and HDTV are the what the the source for the rip was -> PDTV (Pure Digital Television) means that the source is digital tv (satellite, cable), HDTV is hdtv
x264 is a codec, i'm not sure but i think it's an open source version of h264 (sort of like xvid to divx).

much like xvid and divx are mpeg4 encoders, but go beyond the actual standard and thus won't play on all mpeg4 players unless their features are scaled back to within the standard
x264 doesn't differ from the commercial counterparts in almost any way - except that it's usually better than them
open source allows devs to quickly add experimental features the community comes up with - as long as it conforms to h264 standards
any codec decoding the stream will be a standard h264 codec - x264 has nothing to do with actual decoding |
ty for explanation
