Hiya there follks,
so my sound card bit the dust for whatever reason (worthless piece of shit anyway...) so i need a new one.
Any recommendations? Was thinking about a sound blaster x-fi xtreme music but they seem hard to get these days or is an x-fi xtreme gamer worth the extra bucks?
Or is there some completly different manufacterer that i should consider?
(it's main use is just games & music but it'll be occasionally used for recording so I need one that supports - what's it called - "stereo mix" or "what you hear" or something like that)
If you're using Vista, going Creative is really not that worthwhile. Creative used to dominate the market because of their EAX tech, but now that they have been middlefingered by MS in Vista (and W7), the smarter move would be to get a cheaper, yet better sounding sound card.
(Just a tip, don't have some names right now, but I remember there were some tests done on sound cards. Auzentech are nice, but I think they are not cheap.)
