I actually feel a little dirty about pre-defending Volition. I actually thought that they cared about the PC platform, seeing as how they made their careers on it ... I guess I was wrong.

My rants about Rockstar are already well known.. hehehe. However, the difference is that Rockstar ditched the PC in favour of consoles long ago (evidenced by the release of their previous GTA titles on console first -- PC later as flawed ports) -- Volition have always stood by the PC and ported to console later, or simutaneously.

Stop using non pressure-sensitive keys on the controller or keyboard and use TRIGGERS. There's no other way.

Ah, good point and very true.

Untested on male characters because I didn't want to start over and it's a bit buggy but back up the "shaders_pc" file and open it in notepad and remove the four pixelate related shaders.

(EDIT: Cash is due to using trainer as I posted on the previous page, just having fun.)

Very Happy

(Character normally looks better, I messed up the lips though and the "attitude" I selected causes that ugly smile whenever streaking.)

Might be possible to "disable" other shaders but I've no idea what could happen.

EDIT: I posted a resolution fix on the previous page.

EDIT: Fixed all bugs by removing the "distortion_tint_" shader.

Impressive GFX right there.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Unless your problem is game related, to control the speed of the cars/vehicles (so that you're not going maximum speed when you press ACCELERATE) you need to use an analogue control setting.

IE; use the analogue stick for acceleration/braking .. or use a game controller like the 360 one that has analogue TRIGGERS. Otherwise, no matter what key or button you use, you'll always be going full speed when you accelerate.

It's the downside to driving games on the PC, I'm afraid. A button (either on controller or keyboard) is usually a simple ON/OFF affair, which makes driving in games a bit more tricky. You're either full acceleration, or no acceleration. When using controllers with analogue inputs, you get to control the speed -- which is why driving games will always rule on consoles.

It used a custom installer, delete the folder and custom files in the User/My Documents directory plus any leftover registry files. Smile

EDIT: Location of settings and savegames.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\THQ\Saints Row 2 (Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\THQ\Saints Row 2 (XP?)

This is what I've been saying since it first came out for the 360.

But noooo, people went on and on about how FUN IT IS... Yeah, really fun. No feeling whatsoever. Laughing

Yeah how dare people actually have a different opinion than you? Damn them to hell!

this game is steam only = online only. that mean that to play the entire game you need steam installed and a connection. naturally multiplayer need steam and not gamespy. the razor release is "homemade iso" with a custom installer

Go away Boundle.

People are playing online with the Razor release already, from all indications.

Before you explode from console fanboyism know this - there are controllers for PC. Rolling Eyes
