Off topic, but interesting on split screen. There is currently a mod in the works for UT3 to add splitscreen gaming like in the 360. Very Happy Should be pretty fun.

On the 360, splitscreen is AWESOME. You players on the same machine .. and the best part is; you can both go online together! Names are, unfortunately, doubled when you do. IE; Sabin110581 and the 2nd player will be Sabin110581(1) -- but it's a small price to pay.

this supports split screen too, if you got a 360 controller somewhere for the second player.

NFW? That's cool, but is there anyway to use a second mouse and keyboard? And maybe dual monitors?

Wait does that work online as well? Because I find it odd that it would let 2 characters share the same steam ID.

Aye, it does work on the 360. 2P on the same machine over LAN, split-screen OR online. I don't know if the splitscreen trick works for online play on the PC though.

Quick question to everyone: I know about the two shortcuts in Dead Air to get past the hordes (one is at the Crane part, jumping on the power box and then the pipes, second one is at construction site, jumping over barricade).

Now, does anyone else have any more of these kinds of skips? Cus they would be immensely useful ^^.

Peace.

the lift at the gas station where the horde usually comes jumping down from the roof and stuff when you activate it.

there's a door somewhere around there that will unintentionally break if you melee it about 60 times, letting you skip a large part of the map.

it's an exploit and seriously annoying in versus matches.

I dunno. Who would go and bash a random door somewhere 60 times in the hope of braking it? Doesn't surprise me that they didn't find this during playtesting the map.

But yeah.. can't wait for the first real patch. The 2 other campaigns in versus and numerous bug/exploit fixes should make versus much more enjoyable.

for 50€ I can't currently recommend it.
It was available on steam for 33€ for the last 2 weeks, which would have been a price at which it is worth buying... but yeah that christmas price reduction has been removed again today.

I suggest you wait until you can find it cheaper somewhere again or at least until the first big patch is released with the 2 extra versus campaigns, so you actually get enough content for your money.

I did buy it for 50€ but that's just because I've been waiting for it for months and was 100% sure that I'd like it a lot. Considering you're not sure if you want it or not, then I'd say it would be too risky to spend so much money on it.

You can get it for £26.99 including delivery or the equivalent of 28.21€

The store actually got sued for selling games too cheaply. They are legit (you can use paypal) though it does take time for it to go through the post.

Basically they were sued for thinking it was a free market Rolling Eyes

From Wikipedia:

Quote:

The retailer made a name for itself in 2000 when it began operating in the UK and offered CDs and DVDs at lower prices than the high street. Because of their price position they were taken to court by the British Phonographic Industry, the recording industry association for the UK, for selling CDs at prices that often undercut UK retail prices by 25%. Although the CDs in question were legal, many of them were licensed for sale and distribution in other markets and thus priced accordingly for those markets.

...

On 29 May 2007, the former owners of CD WOW! were ordered by the High Court to pay £41 million in damages to the BPI for breaching a 2004 agreement over the sale of illegally imported CDs. The damages awarded to the BPI are still outstanding and they are appealing the decision.
