Never heard of this game but it definately looks sweet.
If it is a bit like Imperium Galactica 2, MoO2 or Galactic Civ it will be awesome I bet.

Wow.. Release in Nov'2002.. An old has-been battle-axe Imperium Galactica-type game with the gayness of names: "Space Rangers".. Heck.. Power Rangers would have been adequate as well. Shheshhh! It doesn't look bad and again KUDOS to Reloaded for releasing (need more crackers/coders to beat the idiot customer-as-criminal protection shiet SF3) but then again I'll reserve judgement. Looks like its been out in Russia for a bit (note web scores on their site) but new to the West.

I'd also be interested in some impressions of this game.
The screenshots look decent, but the space combat screens look pretty bad. However, from what I gather this is a mix of trading/combat/conquering, so is the focus more on economic type gameplay, graphics shouldn't hamper it too much.
Please post your thoughts if you've played.

I'm from Russia and personally i don't like such genre of games (prefer FPS)
But! Game magazine reviewers and those of my friends, who bought SR, says: that game is awesome! I.e. amazing mix of space combat, trading, planet travelling, ship upgrading and so on.
Sales were great, so sequel is in development now. With enchanced grafics, improved gameplay and much more planet systems, ships, guns etc.
There are trailer SR2 somewhere in the net.
Looks like SR not a bad game.

Yep, it's a really good game. It has a lot of elements mixed in it, and every element is perferctly installed.Only thing you may see bad, is the graphics but that's not that bad...

Thats exactly what we need, people who judge games based on their names... I thought people who judged them by graphics were bad |
Well come on its a SILLY name really! I mean, its like calling your new born, APPLE, for pete's sake!! Shheshh.. A name carries alot of weight in this life so what yer called can make a difference in perception!

This game kick ass? , its good but nothing compared to the excellence of Escape Velocity Nova. If you like the space opera games, with intense trading , fights and deep story(open-ended), and huge fan base to modding. Essential. give a shot.

Haha, that game is exactly the reason I downloaded Space Rangers. I thought "Hm...that looks like Escape Velocity. Might be worth a shot." So you basically reviewed it exactly for the reason I downloaded it :) Awesome. Back to EVN I go!
