(sorry to you young cunts without taste, I don't have a link to a soulja boy or an emo video)
yeah man, epic. Love that song. I dont like all of Young's songs, but some fuckin kick ass man.
Anyone who cant appreciate Young doesnt know music. Lots of the younger guys here think you have to scream and play heavy guitar to make a good song.
Dont get me wrong, I love all sorts of metal....but classics are classics you know bro
Bookmarked that vid ty man
EDIT
Do you like Clapton? Amazing guitar player...Slow Hand hand ya know....plays some songs so fast you cant see his hands move.
Again, dont like all his song, but I some kick fuckin ass and are simply epic/classic
haha yeah, I bough Clapton tickets for my dad's birthday the last time he was in town, always a good show
seen him too man. Clapton rocks man.
Even tho u and I are considered young, kids (like 14-20 something) dont know good music.
If its not Justin FagLake or someone singing the same shit over and over with a different melody and different hot girls make its a hit ya know?
Whatever happen to tasteful music (and yes, I know Im a metal head but appreciate the greats of the music world)?
Thats why, music for me, died in 1996...aside from one Manson album released between 05 and now, not one good band has come out, in any genre.
Im waiting for the rap trend (SHIT) to die (and it will in a few years cuz how many times can you listen to a buncha guys singing about how badly they treat women, how much drugs, money, jewels, cars, houses etc....rap, back in the day, had something to say...now, its completely commercial....gargage....as is most rock/"punk" etc every band sounds the same, the big names, and its all pretty boys).
Im waiting for the real musicians to comeback. The only form of real music (as in ppl writing their own lyrics, developing the song etc) is metal. And its frowned upon because of the screaming and heavy riffs but fuck, that is art and extremely hard to sing/play (I know, I sing metal, was in a band).
Well, one can only hope that this trend of getting some knockout chick to sing a song thats been digitally enhanced and fucked with to make her voice sound good is going to die and kids are gunna "hey, i want real musicians. Not some stripper looking bitch who lip synchs at her concerts cause she doesnt have nearly the vocals to preform how she does on her cd.
And I dunno man. I was at a bar, with mostly 19-22/23 year olds the other day and its like, aside from dancehall reggae (or slow dancing), dancing sucks nowadays, imo.
And ive been thinking about it since we got back and even my buddy agreed (he's a rocker who likes metal and classics and classical etc).
It so sad what music is now. No one is original.
They find some hot girl, give her some vocal training, dress her like skank and they next thing you know you have britney spears or rhianna.
haha yeah, I bough Clapton tickets for my dad's birthday the last time he was in town, always a good show

Well dude, Helpless is basically the same song as Knocking on heaven's door (same chords, different lyrics). They made a lot of uninspired music back in the day too, and many artists just copied what was popular in that day too - the difference today is that there are a lot more variety (you basically have artists who draw inspiration from all time periods (eg. Jamiroquai). I think you're wrong in saying that youth today aren't listening to good music, commercial music is and always was uninspired dung. Many artists that were big artists then aren't better (imho) than todays Britney Spears or P.Diddy. But there are a lot of 14-20-year olds that can tell the difference and appreciate quality music regardless from time-period. Although I agree that some more... shall we say alternative styles of music comes with some sort of musical maturity (eg. Jazz).
Good music isn't made in a period, it is made by genuine people. There's plenty of really talented musicians out there, but you really have to look around to find them. The "easy" shit that's made available through commercial radio stations are shit, but then again so was Beatles and Elvis, or fucking Abba to be honest.
Some of my favourite albums are from modern day artists (like Tool or Astral Projection (won't bother to list the relatively unknown artists (OK one, Black Sun Empire) but there are a lot of good stuff out there today. Still, I have yet to find an artist that has made a song like 'Comfortably Numb' or 'Marooned'. But then again, the latter was made in the 90'ies (Division Bell).

I agree and thats what i was saying. There's good music out nowadays but its hard to find. Cuz every radio station or whatever promote shit ie Spears, Rhianna etc
Thats what im talking about.
Like for xmas my niece wanted Lady Gaga's cd....i bought it for her but fuck, its garbage.
And alot of popular/mainstream artists dont even write their own music. They just sing it cuz they look hot compared to the girl or guy who wrote it.
The perfect example of no musical talent is that song Umbrella by Rhianna....god....everytime I hear that song I feel like slitting my wrists man.
Again, there are good musicians out there....actually saw a music vid 2 days ago by some guy (didnt get his name) and it was original. Like it wasnt rock, pop, metal, rap etc It was his own style and sounded decent.
But kids dont want music that is thought provoking, they want shit like "Oops I did it again" etc....complete shit.
Wow Syco, nothing against you, but do you have so much time to reply THAT much on every Thread and posting you read&write?
its called typing fast dude....and when Im on the forum, I have time to kill...its not like "oh, im going out in 15 mins, gotta check the forum"...i come on here when im doing nothing.
