I just got a chipped Wii off a friend. I have a few games. Theres one that occasionally give me issues. This particular game is on a DVD +R, the rest that seem to so far work flawless are on Dvd -r's. I also noticed it had a few very minor scratches. So since I have the original ofcourse, ill make another backup. Do you guys think it's cause it's a DVD +R? also the disc is a sony DVD +R, the others that work flawless are Verbatim DVD-R could that make the difference?

I've been using Verbatim DVD-R and have yet to burn a bad disc. I'd stick with those if they are working for ya.

DVD-R for sure.

I used Verbatims until they ran out, never had a problem, now I just seem to use Sony brand, they never fail me either.

Even in a pinch I had some old shitty Memorexs laying around and those boot for me too. ;P

+R, -R, doesn't matter - never had a coaster. but stick with DVD-R just to be on the safe side and remeber to use good media like sony or verbatim. i even once burned SSBB on a fuji DVD+RW by accident - worked without a flaw! Very Happy
