You can get season crashing bugs with the retail game, it's somewhat random (I'm not sure they know why it happens with the Italian league or Swiss league for example). As usual; FM is buggy and people attribute those bugs to the crack a little too easily... but who really knows, give it a try. You're going to have to crack it again anyway as you'll want to play with the next patch.

doesnt matter
the interest in gta compared to fm will make the groups want to crack it asap, seems no interest in cracking fm only a smsll contingent want it
9 pages for a game that was released a month ago compared to 92 for gta (admittedly this has a lot to do with the console versions)

no. GTA IV have securom DRM but like others games cracked and not uniloc then. fm 09 u have 2 chosen to activate it with steam or securom uniloc. GTA is only securom 7 DRM

too many securom trigger to remove to make game 100% playable. this is a pain in the ass for real crackers reloaded or vitality. maybe just only when fm 2010 will be out we will see a real crack

I actually agree with the review. Sports Interactive pretend that they use focus groups to fine tune the interface. It's bullshit. Any focus group would have ripped it apart by now - and it requires community members to make anything half decent for extensive use and even then they are hamstrung by the games underlying mechanics.
That said; why did someone with clearly no interest in football get anywhere near that review? This is a hardcore simulation. It's like asking a a casual Wii player to review X-Plane or iRacing or... Football Manager. Stupid.

i don't think so. is random but the game anyway don't have a proper crack yet and patches also. holiday don't work anyway with the actual p2p crack. there is an indipendent holiday fix around the net but it's shitty cause it tell to use a serial used to activate the game and this is impossible

Think it's just a myth that has come from the FIFA Manager game, unless that is the game you are thinking about?
What part of "manager" didn't he understand? I get the feeling he was expecting to actually play games and maybe running the entire club, like in FIFA Manager. I suppose he is right that the casual football fan might find it difficult to just pick up and play, people that are really into the whole management thing will find it good and interesting. I can accept he feels it's a game for the more hardcore fans but to give it a 2 because of it feels unfair.
