I would go Lian li as it is very good at extracting heat. Got one of the early models myself. And of course it is totally aluminium.

lol, I have a £5 - £10 case (about $10 - $20)... I dont see the point in spending £80 on a case, The cheap case I have works fine, its got Space for 6 PCI Slots and 1 AGP, Space for 4 CD Drives, Space for 4 Hard Drives and space for 2 floppies. Its light in weight and my Overclocked CPU (1600 to a 1800) Temperature is at 40 Deg Idle and 50 Deg when playing games

I Dont need a side window as I cant see the sides of it Razz

My opinion:
Any case that fits you with free space, drivebays, design etc.
BUT with good power supply (for example Antec, Chieftec).

Same here, Lian-Li's are amazing Razz

PS the extra money you spend = less PAIN IN THE ASS (thumb screws, removable treys/cages for everything, incredibly convenient cases...) and better cooling, more space...

Check this:

http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling/
http://techreport.com/reviews/page.x?pg=enclosures

They have reviewed some cases, so after reading you will know what to check before you buy a case, what case should have etc.

Yup, Lian li cases are very practical too with thumb screwes and all those removable parts. On my main computer I got a chieftec chassi and I must admit it sucks everytime you need to clean it. Next on will also be a Lian li for me but this time one of those water cooling optimised on. It will also be black but still aluminium based.

Here is the site: http://www.lian-li.com/ and here is the product I mean http://www.gtek.se/index.php?mode=item&id=1513&session=9da72d713bff5560a2e1405dc41d9fd8.

This should also be moved to the hardware section.

Razor is right, i also have a chieftec dragon case and it sucks pretty much. First the noise level is very high, secondly the case has no grids or grilles in the front of openings, so dust is a big issue for me with the case. Have to clean it every two weeks. They fixed the second problem with the newer models however. A friend of mine has a casetek cs601 wich is really good. It has the same base model as my dragon but it is much quiter and has grilles on every fan opening and the 3,5 slots are transversal to the board, so you can pull em out easliy.

Since the noise level is most important for me now, i will buy a barebone for christmas. I chose the aopen ez65-II wich is very quiet, i use this pc for internet and as a media station, so windows media center edition will fit nicely Smile

Ok, I understand. I modded the chassi and totally isolated it with some filters. The problem is that I need to cleen the filters and the front panel is a bitch to remove. I hate the steel to.

whoknows -> If you're looking for a silent chassi I would buy the silent Lian li's. I would not recommend those small chassis because you can't put all the stuff you wan't like better audio card and other pci cards. Second, The heat is tremendous in those chassis.

thanks for the links razor1394, but this barebone is just right, i don't use it for gaming, only surfing, irc idleing etc. Heat shouldn't be a problam as i only put a celeron d 2,4 or 2,66 in.
