Anyone seen this movie?

Is it just another tween/teen movie or does it have depth and intrigue and suspense and mystery in an adult fashion?
Or, like i asked, is it just a typical teen/tween flick meant to get all the little girlies hot and bothered cuz of that guy (who I think is fuckin fugy tbh)?

People who like this movie should be killed. Or worse.

It basically makes a joke of the entire vampire genre, not to mention the people who like this shit think it's fucking brilliant. An embarrassment to fucking film making everywhere.

some funny shit about this bullshit:

don't make assumptions. this movie is a fucking joke for 12 year old girls. In fact if you end up liking it I'll just assume you have a hairless pussy in between your legs.

Thing is, everything feels processed these days. Built to sell. Lowest common denominator stuff. How does Twilight reach the spotlight when the shelves are packed with very similar droves of weak gothic vampire shit geared towards girls old enough to read but too young to have taste.

Holy shit. We need a thread dedicated to the best of the comments on that blog.

=Edit 2=

Oh sweet Jesus. The IMDb boards for Twilight are worse!! They're filled with tweengrrls all whining about life, asking for dating tips on getting "that cute boy to notice me" -- and the merits of NOT shaving your armpits.

I've just had a peek into the world of fat, ugly, tweens -- and it's a scary, scary sight.

hahaha, my favourite quote

"Is it the overstyled hair? That's part of it. Is it the way the makeup is used to emphasize the kid's already blandly superboymodel cheekbones? Certainly. But mostly it's the look. The "I'm undead and so sexy it'll hurt your tween clit" glare."

So yeah, I think I will skip this. When it comes to TMN and if NOTHING else is on tv i'll TRY and watch it just to see what its about.

@Dom

The Crow wasnt geared towards girls....The Crow is badass man. Its a very dark movie and The Crow isnt a vampire.

Like nouse said, if you like this movie, along with nouse, Im gunna assume you are a tween girl with a bald pussy.

(Not directed at dom or anyone)
Vampire movies can be good. I liked 30 Days of Night, Interview with a Vampire, Bram Strokers Dracula, Dracula (with Max Shrek or whatever his name is, that old dracula movie). Vampire movies are amoung my fav kinda movies, if they are done right.
Like 30 Days of Night was done right. No fags dressed up like flamers seducing chicks and shit. Just pure killing and violence and horror...thats how a vampire movie should be.

EDIT

I think it was last week or 2 weeks ago. On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno they have a segment called 'Headlines' on Mondays. Ppl send in newspaper articles where the headlines or something in the article is retarded...ie Not Eating Causing Hunger. Shit like that.
Anyway, 2 weeks ago someone sent in a pic of this girl who won a competition at her school for most creative T-shirt and it was a Twilight tshirt. She's a senior and spelled Twilight "Tiwlight" lmao....that made me crack up. Maybe you guys can find it on youtube or something.
Leno's headline segment on Mondays are fuckin classic

Did you know they're doing a remake of the original Crow? Directed by the director behind "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". Apparently he's dropping the gothic theme, the highly stylized format and going to a more realistic hard-boiled "almost documentary style" action movie.

Other movies getting the remake treatment:

Escape from NY (with Gerard Butler as Snake Plissken ROFL)
Karate Kid (with Jaden Smith as Karate Kid)
They Live (another John Carpenter Gem)
Suspiria (who's dumb enough to even attempt to remake that classic masterpiece?
Let The Right One In (it's still showing on limited screens in the US, yet the remake is already under way)
and a thousand other remakes, based on US or foreign movies.

Well, it's official, Hollywood is suffering from a decade old creativity-killing virus and are remaking anything they can get their hands on to survive the originality-crisis until a new generation of script writers have grown up with intact brains.

In my opinion a movie warrants a remake ONLY if it was flawed or bad to begin with. However, seem Hollywood have already remade all the bad ones and are desperately remaking the good ones as well, just to have something to carry the industry floating.

I hope all those movies bomb miserably to rid us of this remake mania but they'll probably make more than the originals while being nowhere near as good as them. There is a whole generation of clueless idiots who don't know how awesome the originals (talking only about The Crow and EFNY here) were so they don't know any better.

i actually wouldn't mind a 'they live' remake
the original had some great visual ideas but it wasn't really that good of a film by itself
much like most carpenter films.. great ideas, varying results

My superduper fave Carpenter movies:

Halloween (he nailed the slasher in that one with huge amounts of suspense and tension as opposed to the teen-sex-slasher of Friday the 13th, although I do enjoy the earlier movies (part 2-4) despite their camp status)

Escape from NY (not much to say, an immortal classic)

The Thing (best remake ever made)

Prince of Darkness (I didn't really love this one when I first saw it, but years later I bought it on DVD and loved every second of it)

In the Mouth of Madness (this movie is one of the absolutely best Lovecraftian movies when it comes to transmitting the insanity and fear Lovecraft filled his books with. Ironically it's not even a Lovecraft story which says a lot about actual Lovecraft movies)

I liked (to varying degrees) Vampires, They Live, Village of the Damned, Big Trouble in Little China, Ghosts of Mars (I must be the only one in the entire universe that think it's a good (not great) movie)....

Escape from LA was the biggest mistake in Carpenters career as far as I'm concerned. It was clichéd, boring, silly and basically a poor remake of Escape from NY.

The Fog was silly. It had some tense moments, but most of the time it was bah.

Assault on Precinct 13 was great when I had an uncut VHS copy in the mid-80'ies (I was 14). When I re-watched it in 2001(just guesstimate) it hadn't aged well at all. And the remake wasn't better either.

Dark Star. I like this for what it is, a student movie with comedy, drama and action in an interesting mix. It displays his early raw talents that he honed (his BIG era was the 80'ies and early 90'ies).

disclaimer: my opinions are my own and in no way meant to affect anyone else except as a curiosity and finding like minded who just like to chat about movies etc.

It's got no connection to the masterpiece by Alfredson, it's just a different emo-romance-teen movie with vampires added. This kind of stupid tripe is selling shed loads of books and comics to girls under 15.

Regardless of how much we make fun of movies like Twilight or High School Musical there will always be a huge market for them and rightly so. I would be very offended if teeny boppers starting liking the same kind of movies that I do and I bet the feeling is mutual. These movies are the Grease and Saturday Night Fever of this generation.

Perhaps you're right. The sad thing is that the movie industry have become so revenue focused that there's little room for innovation and originality, every movie have to be a possible block buster before it gets greenlit, and publishers and executives use statistics to tell the writers what to change, how the movie should be made to create the most possible revenue for a certain budget. The bigger the budget, the more mainstream the movie has to be. This has "trained" the minds of successful scriptwriters into their way of thinking. Movie makers that aren't 100% focused on creating a cash influx just won't be given the chance to do something great. Once in every blue moon the stars align to let some director follow a vision resulting in a really great moving coming our way, but they're few and far apart.

The worst part is that the majority of the presumable audience have been fashioned into this way of thinking as well and happily shell out their money for creatively substandard movies that should really just be called revenue-making mainstream advertising.

No. Since Quantum of Solace is part of the James Bond franchise and with the success of Casino Royale it is expected to be a blockbuster hit, there is no reason why it shouldn't have beaten Twighlight. With you're response, you're trying to say that emo kids influence the movie industry? If that is the case does that mean emo kids put films like Shawshank Redemption and Godfather where it is today? I think not you idiot.
