Hmm, game caused a BSOD, something I haven't had on this machine in a year.
Really fun though, controls perfect on the 360 controller and the graphics are acceptable.

Man, this game crashes a lot. I mean a shitload. 2 bluescreens and a dozen CTD's and I'm just now ready to leave the first island.
I got the spear and mace and armor from there. Is there a sword somewhere too? And shield? Doesn't look like you can switch shields though but seems like I am missing a sword. Anyone find it?
Does the clone DVD crash like the reloaded too?

yup
but no BSODs here, only CTDs..
at first i thought the crack is bad but it's not
then i lowered the resolution from 1280x1024 to 1152x864 and havent crashed since
try that, maybe it works

Minor spoilers for getting a somewhat better sword.
A better sword than the default one can be found by talking to your guard captain and completing his request and then talking to him again in his house in the village close to where those rowdy guys you duel (And potentially get a better mace from.) where located.
EDIT: Haven't progressed that far from there though as it crashes when I enter the crypt outside the village.
(Damn witch.)

Go to your game dir, ... \Rise of the Argonauts\Engine\Config and open text config file "BaseInput.ini". The 5th code line - counting from the top - is "MouseSensitivity=xx". Change it to whatever suits you. |

I have no idea why, but the game looks alot better on the Xbox. So there should be alot of room for improvement in the ini's. The combat is also alot more fun and intuitive with a gamepad, too bad the game doesn't support anything but a Xbox controller. So f you've got a Xbox, go for it. This is a case of really crappy porting.

No it's a great port and I have an xbox controller, graphics look great from what I've seen better than the xbox version, you have to compare them on the same screen or tv since obviously you don't plug in the xbox into the monitor.

The Xbox is connected to the same monitor at this time and since there are no graphical options I can compare the two. And it really looks better on the Xbox. It is also a crappy port because it has "CONSOLE" in very bold letters written all over it. I'm not saying the the game is bad, it's actually alot of fun, but the PC version is just not done right.

I thought Medusa was obvious enough.
Attack her serpents one by one so that Pan can seal their areas forcing them to come out in the center. Once all four are sealed, you should know what to do.
Rinse and repeat.

Hi Guys, Anyone know how to invert the mouse somewhere in the baseinput.ini etc? I am really struggling to play this without invert

There's nothing to really improve in the INI in terms of graphics, tried increasing shadow resolution and enabling some disabled commands but it either doesn't do anything noticeable or causes crashes.
Been modding the other INI files though to tweak the game in various ways, pretty obvious by checking them one by one.

Meh, the end was such a dissapointment.
They didn't explan exactly what was Alceme's part in prophecy, and that lame 10 second cutscene at the end.
Ffs, way to fuck up a good game.

Yeah, at first I thought the game was cool (except for all the fucking crashing) but at least it autosaved every 10 feet.
But man, without crashes you could beat this game in 6 hours easy. And there is no MP an d no replay at all. You get every weapon easily and you can get over half the god powers. But it's not like you use them much. Where is the shit to fight? The last level has more combat than the rest of the game combined. Way too much running back and forth talking to people with the Mass Effect wheel of retorts.

This game is nothing like mass effect in terms of dialogues. Unlike ME where there were only yes no maybe kind of answers here You have 4 competely different answers possible.
And it took me exactly 14 hours on Legend doing all side quests.
And the god pwoers are great if You know which one to use and when.

ME had up to 6 different responses with exactly the same kind of flavoring. There was mean, nice, fair etc. Very very similar. And in ME they even gave you paragon points etc! It's quite obvious they ripped that shit straight off.
Yeah it took me about 12 hours to finish it because I had to reboot every 15-30mins.
God Powers were fine, but unnecessary. Most of the time standard mace attacks killed everything. And replaying the game again just to see a different one or two would make me gouge my eyes out.
