I was really angry at R* when I heard the complaints, but then I installed it, and really didn't have any problems, except for minor texture problems.

PC's can handle anything u throw with a right port or right coding but, seriously, a heavy rig cant? i'm a big fan of gta and im sad this one has tons of bugs. Customize headaches, errors popping like the one mentioned (not by a small group like R * says "fatal error zlib20"), this aint just another DRM game it pushes it further with clubs and then what?
So please let me know if u all having this zlib20 error cause i aint buying a game that is not optimized at all. shame for its multiplayer would've been a ride. |
played for 28 hours so far. the gameplay is good and i much prefer this scenario to SA with the black gangster crap. The only annoyance for me is the low framerates. I think with this you need to ignore the gfx and framerates and try to get into the game.
No errors here.
@SpykeZ
Cant you get a refund from steam? I thought they were giving refunds to anyone unhappy with the game.

Find the settings.cfg file and delete it, then run the game again and it'll work fine. For some reason the game refuses to keep the settings after you update drivers unless you do this.

they are still there just in a different folder. think you need to move them to the windows live save folder

Yeah, you just need to move saves to another folder.
When you played F3 without having Windows Live on your computer your saves were in this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves\
Now simply move them to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves\YourWindowsLiveUsername\

Get yourself an external memory purging utility. I think O&O "Clever Cache" has one, or "Free RAM Optimizer XP". Should do the trick.

As can be seen by this line in the files.txt file in the archive I uploaded.
pc\data\filelist_.pak
(Instead of using the original filelist.pak entry.) |
can u re up the "fixed" file plz?
Because i renamed the filelist_.pak to filelist.pak (in files.txt)
and still dont run :S
pd: try to incluide both paks (original and the empty) to avoid the missunderstood..

I like when the car radio stays on even when u get out of the car.
Try standing beside ur car when in tunnels, or under platforms,
U can hear ur music playing with echo.
sound even changes when u close and open door.
Just these small things got me hooked

Nice, though will it really work having the files unpacked like that?
(I'll see if I can't get the actual installer, LIVE didn't prompt for any available updates though.)
EDIT: Seems there's several files in that archive that aren't part of the game originally, odd.
