I'm half way through the game and I find it pretty boring to be honest , gun fights and AI are a joke but that's not what makes a tomb raider of course , it just seems bland and I don't feel any joy solving the puzzles or climbing etc , maybe the title is pretty overused by now and I've had enough.

Well they're pretty dedicated, first re-texture can be found on page 4 or so and from there to page 17 (Which I linked to.) there's a pretty large variety of costumes.
http://nudecreator.de/page/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=717&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45
I don't use them myself though, doesn't really fit though some of them are pretty well done.
(Haven't actually played the game in quite a while either, been busy with other things and games so still only on the second map which I think was Thailand.)

Fack...too late for me. I already experienced the ramp bug in south mexico and had to start the previous two levels over again. The patch doesn't even mention that bug.

The BS part is calling it a SecuROM trigger. It was just a bug. Games do have those you know. Sometimes lots of them.

I played through the game with the crack and had no trouble getting into the cave in time and the ramp worked. So i seriously doubt it was a trigger.

then fail the puzzle and try to restart it with the first cog ... and you see what i mean , you can't restart it and your stuck, play with the mini and no problem there
but heck who cares now when they removed this trigger ... none well if your in the download community you care, if you bought it you don't at lest they finally fixed the clipping issues, the levitating and compability for older graphic/audio hardware
@dsergei
the problem here was not the puzzle, you could easily beat in 15sec with Lara's bike if you concentrate, the problem here was when you failed you couldn't restart it

I actually failed it twice. First time I didn't know wtf to do, second time I was too slow.
Never had an issue with it opening again. Didn't use a mini-image either.

The original info came from fourplayercoop actually....
http://www.fourplayercoop.com/news/444-tomb-raider-reboot-the-first-details
In english of course
the "concept" art:
Spoiler: | |
I couldn't find the original picture of the page anywhere in better quality but you can find the text which is on it in the spoiler
Spoiler: |
When a sudden storm destroys her research vessel, a young and inexperienced Lara Croft finds herself stranded on a mysterious and remote island hidden of the shores of Japan. Despite several signs of various inhabitants the island is oddly deserted, and an uneasy feeling settles in as strange sounds emerge from the shadows.
With only her determination, inner strength, and resourcefulness to help her, Lara must overcome the challenge of a harsh and unforgiving journey that will take her across a vast island wilderness and deep into the claustrophobic and menacing underground tomb from the island’s past. As she struggles to prevail through brutal combat encounters and treacherous exploration, Lara will be pushed to her limits and forced to adapt to her situation in order to survive and escape from the lethal predators that stalk her every move.
Hunt or be Hunted: Evade, outsmart, track and kill the mysterious enemies that hunt you as prey.
Survival Action: Brutally attack and defend yourself as you fight to survive through visceral one-on-one melee combat.
Strategic Weapons: Gain an advantage in combat by finding an array of different melee and ranged weapons including a variety of guns and the hunters’s ultimate weapong, the bow.
Creative Survival: React and adapt to the island by using only that which you can salvage from the environment like climbing axes, rope and machetes that can be used to unlock new traversal and combat gameplay options.
Free Movement: Scramble up a vertical cliff wall, sprint and leap across huge chasm, steer mid-air to land a misdirected jump. There is no right way to traverse, survive, and explore the harsh environment of the island.
One Cohesive World: The diverse multi-region island is an open playground alive with creatures, weather, and natural events.
Origin Story: This new Tomb Raider concept reboots the franchise by exploring the origins of Lara Croft’s transformation into a hardened adventurer as you unravel the story behind the island’s mysterious past. |
It's still a rumor, but since lawyers were quick on the case it's possibly real.
And also...this is just concept art ...early art for the "Underworld" Lara was far away from the finished product too.
This info is suspected to be from an internal eidos or crystal dynamics site...everything is still just a rumor.
But, this is the first time I saw a german version of that...looks pretty legit.

Well they said that after the fucking let down that was 2 3 4 5 and shitty 6 they wanted to remade the whole Lara Croft games so they made new part 1 (Anniversary) , new part 2 (Legend), new part 3 (Underworld) and now new part4 - that explains how she became what she is now
as for me i am waiting for the new part 5 that will explain how she died and was resurrected , the old part 6 did a shitty job explaining this
SINGLE-CELLED ASEXUALLY REPRODUCTIVE ORGANISMS RULE.
I agree. It's no big deal. Animal, mineral or vegetable; I'll DO anything TO anything.

It is just a local texture mod (which is injected into memory instead of the real texture).
