Seen all the Swedish films about Wallander. Just watching episode 1 of the new English version (home sick today  ) So far so good!.
I guess most of you guys (none Swe) have never heard about Wallander, but the novels and the TV series are huge in Sweden and in Germany to actually.
Its sort of like a police drama but pretty realistic and sort of spooky, and this one has Kenneth Branagh playing Wallander. Anyho check it out, episode 1 out now!.

Oh, and its all filmed at the locations from the books in Sweden.
And pretty weird to see a Swedish police (in Swedish police uniform) speak perfect English  .
Just finished watching, and this might not be for everyone, it's basically no action, but the plot is pretty scary and it shows a police man from a more human/realistic side that have problems and issues with his family/life etc. More of a dark police drama...very dark actually.
I think they translated the Swedish version pretty well, and Branagh is very believable as Wallander. Waiting for the next episode for sure. |

why not just sub or dub the original then
i'd expect them to move it to england atleast
the swedish ones weren't bad enough to warrant a remake just for the sake having one (actually not bad at all)

for some reason i cant stand Wallander the acting is like they are reading straight out of the script sounds so fake i dunno
saw luftslottet i think, Beck is the shit tho!

JahLux: which version of Wallander are you talking about?! Anyways i like Wallander, but i did go back and watched it from the first episode/movie (talking about the newer swedish versions from 2005 and on)
