No, he got it right first time, Rockstar wont give a fuck coz its only the first week that matters, they all know it will be piratedin the end but they will get what they want with the borderliners going out and buying the game rather than pirating it, We all know most people who pirate would pirate it anyway or just not buy it, all rockstar wanted was to get the guys who would sit on the fence to buy it. They always say the first week is most important and so far its working, people who wanna play the game properly are being forced into buying it

Securoom a getting better and better, and the groups is starting to have trouble breaking them.. try to imagene how it is in 1 years time ?
It's not only the launch of the game anymore, now they are starting to effect the gameplay with all kind of shit.
I may be wrong, but the war against us have just started i think

Are you new? That's how it always goes. New protection comes out and it takes a while to crack it. Look at other recent Securom games since Bioshock. They get cracked in no time.

Actually, no they will not.. why? Because copy protections make it such a pain in the ass to be a legal player, that you just 1) dont buy/play the game, or 2) simply grab a pirated version thats more or less 'hassle free'. Obviously the hyped up addicts will not be able to 'wait' until the pain-in-the-a$$ crap is cracked out of the game, so they go and buy and make *hitstar happy for their successful copy protection.
Everything that has such a big name will get cracked eventually.. the only way to avoid getting cracked is to create something horribly bad, or something so little known, that it just does not attract the attention of crackers. Even that will get cracked tho, if its good enough.. it just takes more time.
So no.. you can dream about the scene dying all you want, but fact stays: scene will only die when theres no more games to crack.

But i just want to share my thoughts about all this, don't kill me for beliveving that scene is dying a slow painfull death.

well, i installed the game using x.x0008 release, then i used a paul.dll craked from one of those crack releases floating around - GTA.4.REAL.PROPER.Crack.ONLY-FCUKTHESCENE -
and then installed DT pro advanced, mounted the mini image on gcw, and yes the first time i entered the game i got the shakky camera and car was driving by himself.
So, yes, my previous theory failed !!
It worked for JBeckman for some reason.....
Anyway i restarted the game, and play for 15m without any problems at all, so it seems if you have any problem, just restart the game and you can play without problems.
The game itself has horrible performance, and it needs AA, those jaggies are not good to look.
The game is awesome to play with keyboard and mouse, and i can see some textures are indeed better.
The club cd keys works online.

Could you give this a try?
- convert the GTA IV DVD 1.iso into GTA IV DVD 1.mdf using UltraISO;
- get .mds file from gcw mini image;
- install dt pro / y.a.s.u;
- mount image & install the game.
Apparently, the game doing random checks of disk content, as mini image thing not working.

well..i use the same crack but with out all the othere atuff you made..rename dll and win 2000 and i played i guess 3-4 hours with few restarts too and everything going great and..did i say i love this game?  |

is useless the clone. it work like all others release. just when u put paul.dll cracked it active all triggers inside game. then all is random

to know if the mini image is screwed up it's really easy : we just ask JBeckman to run the game with the mini images, but since the triggers seem random we cant be fully sure... But that'd definitly help.

This thread should just be closed and any new threads deleted until a proper crack has been released. There's 50+ pages of "does this crack work? why doesn't it work? maybe it works for me? there's nothing wrong, the camera is supposed to be wobbly! pc-gaming is dead! scene is dead! jfk is alive!"

minimage and clones are useless here. the only solution is a reloaded crack with all triggers removed just like others game red alert 3 or mass effect for example
