I had that problem as well with the launcher shortcut (Currently using three commands to disable restrictions, prefetching and vsync).
It's solved by using the program online, though perhaps there are better solutions.
(Sounds dumb I know but starting social club as offline followed by the launcher shortcut only started the social club again whereas with it being online it started the actual game.)

Who got all the shortcut commands that can be used?
Post them plz.
And dont point to the launcher, use GTAIV.exe...

100% with latest YASU I'd guess, as long as the program can handle MDF/MDS files.
(vIDE or SCSI shouldn't matter if it's hidden.)

You can't use the current clones mounted. Without YASU it says emulation detected, with YASU it says can't run from a backup.
Maybe the stoned version will work, but since it's not even available I don't know.

guy offa warez-bb got me a maxi-image yesterday that worked when loaded on alcohol trial with the trial's a.c.i.d. tool so if YASU doesn't work try that - it hid my DT virtual drives as well.
it was a maxi of the crappy non-clones so it still had all the standard problems.

game worked perfectly for me, except a few little flaws, after a while it showed the buttons you have to press as 'Ä' and stuff. no wobbly screen or w/e though, played for like 3 hours. gonna try again now, i'll report if it still works good. (btw what i did was use some crack on wbb that only has paul.dll and launchgtaiv.exe, put them both in the gta iv map and the offlineactivation map, oh and i also deleted that one dll in your gta folder)

Damn this thread is awesome. Everyone's in here, the e-peens, the n00bs, the "can't be arsed reading ANYTHING so I'll ask the (stupid) question anyways even if I get ripped to tiny pieces" planks, the put-downers (funny and diabolical).
I'm just happy to have the ISO's and will quite happily wait for a proper. In the meantime, please do carry on. Best entertainment I've had in ages.

-help: Display list of all command line options
Graphics
-renderquality: Set the render quality of the game. (0-4)
-shadowdensity: Set the shadow density of the game. (0-16)
-texturequality: Set the texture quality of the game. (0-2)
-viewdistance: Set the view distance of the game (0-99)

fuck that. even if i add the command to the gtaiv.exe shortcut, i still can't start the game without the stupid Social Club app running first.
