I ran the benchmark on my 8800gts and got only 20fps.
Then i ran it on my old crappy 2600xt and also got 20fps.
WTF is wrong with this game?

How does it compare to other modern games, in terms of graphics and performance? |
If you have a topline pc, it runs completely fine.
Dunno bout medium tho.
What counts I think is mem, processor and gpu
I have a 2.5ghz quad, 4gb ram, 4870x2 2gb and it runs fine. All settings on max aside from rez as it doesnt account for the crossfire thingly built into the x2 (but its not a reall crossfire setup, built in). So I only get 1024 of vid card ram or whatever instead of 2gb i get with games like FC2, Crysis etc

There are some graphic issues like jagged sort a fuzzy shadows and stuff, but I think we should see some improvement with the next NVIDA/ATI drivers. And the game probably needs a patch anyway. But for me it runs pretty smooth. I have not yet checked the frame rate...will do later.
Playing in 2560x1600 all on max except the textures (got artifacts in high for some reason) set to medium.
You can not compare this with Crysis of course or even COD5 I would say. Its good graphic wise, not stunning. The game play is as always with the GTA franchise pretty cool but.
@Syco, cheers will keep that in mind if it happens again.

np.
If you lower the res, the game will preform better and textures will run on max.
I had mine on high (everything, res, textures, shadows, etc)
But it kinda lagged/skipped. Its a optimization flaw for sure.
Just run it on a lower res and you will be fine

Managed to enter a couple of games, so 'The Club' keys definitely work. Very Happy

before to use a key to play in multiplayer u don't have to register into rockstar social club thing? work without any registration then? |
I made a Social Club account, I'm not sure if it's possible without it; will try in a bit. You obviously need to make a Live! account though.
:edit: When I said 'The Club' key, I wasn't referring to Social Club, but the CD keys SEGA gave away several months ago.

and this works ok for you coxy? no wobble cam or anythin ? | Nope played for another hour just now...all ok. I only had wobble when I changed my graphic setting by the way...maybe that is a hint. |
To fix that, just restart the game bud |
For me, when I'm doing the same, when restarting, it stops wobbling ,but the graphic options just change back to medium, can't change it to high, they just won't save...so restarting game just will reset them...U guys can change textures, and draw and all other settings, then apply, exit game, start again and then u have in options all the settings as u have set them ? For me they've just reseting themselves when wobbling cam appear and I restart...

yeah theres a way to get it to run on SP2 (i think) looks like you are gonna have to start reading some of the pages back. Radamez was just telling you what the error meant.

Step 1: Run Regedit by Clicking on Start -> Run , type in regedit and press enter
Step 2: Make a backup of your registry (just in case)
Step 3: Browse to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Windows"
Step 4: Modify the value of "CSDVersion" from "0x00000200" (SP2) to the Windows XP SP3 value of "0x00000300"
Step 5: Close registry editor
Step 6: Reboot

SP2 only on x64 (64 bit) Windows. On x86 (32 bit) you need sp3. This trick for sp3 don't work. You need actual instalation.

Just imagine how much better it could have been had the devs actually worked on the game, rather than these stupid things such as drunken camera and exploding cars (among the million other stuff the probably have and are yet undiscovered)...

Another thing that seems to be detrimental to the experience is missing pedestrians.
Though I've only seen 3 people make mention of it so far, and I don't know whether they bought the game or used a crack, so it's still unconfirmed as a bug or a triggered event.

i get around 50 fps with my 8800gt. but i cant change resultion to 1920X1080 on my acer p244w.
but ok i think this get will never cracked perfectly ! that game always need connected to the internet.
change resultion without internet = crash
savegame offline profile or online profile= woobling
And it think a big problem is the with that fuck social club.
i would by the game but for around 50 euros no way. i work for 50 euros hard and thats a
fucking overpriced .piracy is dead and i think rockstar have build in more jokes for cracked version...
i tried 2 days now all options versions to play it without problems and nothing works.there is more in life to get fucked with the problems from GTA. in 20 years of pc gaming from me i never saw such big problems with a cracked game.....
