Grand Theft Auto IV On PC Is A Little Broken

Just noticed something funny. I changed my Texture setting to High, did not restart the game (normally you should for it to take effect) started playing...guess what the drunken cam and the speed bug in the car was back.
Dam..I am buying this today...I guess there will be a patch out sooner then later to fix all the optimisation probs with this game...better have a proper game then.

They should fix all performance and gfx problems as soon as possible! It's totally unplayable even without shaky shit

I don't have the game but all of you should consider the possibility that the wobbly-camera trigger is just random.
Why do you keep trying strange stuff and copying files back and forth ? Without a proper crack, you'll still get screwed ingame, no matter what alchemist experiments you try.
P.S.: Reminds me of a Derren Brown episode, lol

Looks to me that most of the "new" cracks like wurtsuppe and fuckthescene are using his Paul.ddl anyway. |

This game is all about the CPU. Best results are coming from intel quad cores and i7, even with a 8800gt.

Try this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows]
"CSDVersion"=dword:00000300
Set it from 200 to 300 and reboot.

VISTA = SP 1
XP = SP3
Cant play without... But ive seen someone playing without, not sure if it true though...

changing the registry got rid of the rmn40 error for me, but the game would still crash when starting, until i actually installed sp3.

Guys, at this point you need two cracks:
- One that gets you past the activation
- One that gets you past the DVD check
For the wobbly camera issue, I do have the solution.
1 - Unplug your Internet cord (this is VITAL!).
2 - Get in game.
3 - When you are told that to save the game you have to login, DO LOGIN!
4 - At this point, you should have the Windows Live Game crap, but it should give you two options: Login or Create an offline account. Go with Create offline account.
5 - It will ask you for a name for the profile, go with it through the end.
6 - At this point you should be back in the game, and in a while your camera will start wobbling. This is "NORMAL".
7 - Get out of the game, close the Rockstar stuff (it should have an icon in your tray, near the clock)
8 - Plug internet back in AND make sure your firewall IS NOT blocking GTA or Rockstar stuff.
9 - Get in the game and enjoy 
As long as your Internet is ON and you ARE LOGGED in on Windows Live game crap (although you will always be logged with an offline profile by default now) the camera won't wobble and you can save your game.

A SLI 9800x2 with 4 GPUs Isnt powerful enough for this SHITY GAME ???

Just wait for a real release.

The game works without SP3, Been playing it for (total) about 22 hours without a single crash on SP2
