hmm...maybe I haven't got to the part yet? I only played for about an hour and a half...
and I replaced all instances of "d:\" with "f:\Games\swkotor2\"
I see that you still have "d:\DMVault" which you forgot to change...
also, you can try renaming the directory to something without the spaces. "Star Wars KotOR II" to "swkotor2" or something similar

I tested to change all d:\ to f:\Games\Star Wars KotOR II, it did not work.
Will test changing the Star Wars KotOR II directory name to something without spaces..

i think d:\ drive is use only for cache use to copy files there for short use only so no need to change anything

Executed programs default to d:\ regardless of where they are ran from.

I did copied your ini exactly and watched the trailer and loaded from the aotosave.....still no dice.

Argh, I hate this god damn bug, after the cut scene in which the droid gets blastered the screen goes black. So I load it up again, so now I control the dude instead of the droid. There's only a couple of laser fields (or whatever) that's impossible to open, so I went back through the door I came in from. Then I get to control the droid again (WTF?) but he can't move and looks all electified.

I tried all of those different ideas of yours. Which did nada. So in desperation I went absolutely mental on the controls when the cutscreen with the droid appeared. Pressing all buttons, moving all the sticks and what do you know. It worked I got a loading screen and returned to playing the main character at the right place.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

ok for some odd reason things are just not working out the way they should
i escaped with the ebon hawk from the fuel station
got arrested
then i was out went to get my ship back and gear
but found out ship was stolen
now what ? i have no idea i ran of the whole area talked to everybody i saw nothing helps me further
journal also stays empty all the time even after restarting that area

You have to do subplot things for the slug people, atleast thats what I did.
you can prolly also do the sub-plots for the other people there and get what you need.

Dunno I just helped them.
there complex is on the same level (loading screen) as the Czerka people (If I remember corectly it was quite a few game hours since I was there) You just go in there and speak to him.
I would imagine you could help czerka instead and get the same result etc...... just choices within the game

Is this bug limited to this release or playing from the HDD or is it actually like this in the retail version?
I'm seeing alot of bugs like NPC's showing up when they're not supposed to, game crashing/freezing, and the frame rate going extremely slow during a fight for a minute... I'm talking slideshow slow.

oh well at least we know the release is fine
wonder wtf its all going wrong then
restating the game from scrap does the same for me
so i am gonna hope i find somebody with his xbox connected to his pc
and try to get a savegame from that area

quick question as since console aint my best area
lets say you burn a copy but it aint burned good
dont know how to explain it but the copy works but the game somehow is not working like it should
could it be possible that during the game some thing dont go like they should
like stuff which isnt loaded etc ...

strange tho
when i first started the game i everything seemed to be going good
now after a while the active quests menu has blocks but no text in them
while some time ago i saw the quest description in them
and no its not because i got no quests
the text is just not showing anymore
which pretty damn odd

I actually had the text problem.
I cleared all my cache from X,Y, and Z and re-burnt the game (low quality DVD-RW) and it has worked fine since.
