How can you call someone fucking blind then claim that the article says no disc is needed?

Here, i copied a few quotes as you seem to have a slight reading difficulty.

You will need an active internet connection to activate the software and the retail disk is required to be in the computer drive in order to play.

To launch and play the GTA IV retail version, you must have GTA IV Disc 1 in the drive. If you want to play without a disk in the drive, you should buy the digital version of the game.

Rockstar: Yes. If you have the retail disc version you will just need to take the disc with you and you can play on an unlimited number of machines.

Rockstar: You can give the game out to anyone you want, at any point. If you bought the disc version, only the user who currently has the disc in the drive while playing will get to do so.

When internet activation was brought up, it was meant to be the replacement for having the disk in the drive. Now it's both. It sounds like an excuse, but I do buy games I like, so please don't make assumptions about me.

No, but usually online activated games don't require disks, so it saves the customers some hassle.

Requiring the disk in the drive with online activation is just silly.

Thats why I just bought it via Steam (well... preordered) No discs required Razz.

I'd just end up throwing the box on a pile of other boxes having it eat dust... thats why I used steam, and I like steam Smile

If he's just bought the game i doubt he will want to waste his time/bandwith just so other people can get it for free and even if he wanted to it would probably take 3 days if he has a crappy DSL connection with 40k/sec upload.

on a more serious note: PLEASE REFRAIN from asking where to get that non-scene release and refrain from asking HOW TO GET IT TO WORK.
Since it s a copyprotected non-scene release you ll be able to do nothing with it. So dont get your panties in a twist over it Very Happy
