Why are people still posting in this thread? Maybe you guys should wait until um, you know when the games actually out and there's something to talk about.

So you're posting on the thread to say people shouldn't post on the thread? Geez, I guess they're the sad ones with nothing better to do and not you.... Razz

I don't know if you've realized just how many posts (Pages) have been deleted in this thread due to them being a total waste of space. Right now everything coming out of peoples mouths is prepubescent anticipatory moans which I'm sure no one is interested in reading.

Copyprotections don't cost millions of dollars. I won't say the prices of SecuROM here because it's confidential, but it isn't that expensive at all.

Confidential? lol. Its about 12p (18 cents US) per disc. Thats the rough price per unit but there are other licensing costs involved.

TBH the focus WAAAAY to much on a serious story in this one. More sandbox and not so serious!

Not tried this one yet, I'm waiting for PC release, but GTA:SA was the best GTA game.

Not normally a fan of the nigga wigga bullcrap but it was done well enough to be bearable and teh gameplay was amazing.

i like the nigga wigga stuff its great fun to watch & above all its far from BORING. Wink

oh on this matter i was playing motorstorm pacific rift online last night & this nigga wigga gamer was funny as hell to listen to while we played,he was a massive change from the usual boring as hell people who all they speak is the F word every 2 seconds & complain about everything.
i hope more nigga wigga's join PSN they're awesome. Wink

In the seemingly inevitable event that some dirty pirate manages to crack GTA IV PC and make it available, what are the advantages and disadvantages to using a legitimate copy over a pirated one?

Rockstar: Aside from the fact that warez are a great place to pick up a Trojan or key logger, using a cracked copy of GTA IV PC will result in varying changes to the game experience. These can range from comical to game-progress-halting changes.

Rockstar Games rewards loyal, paying customers and will offer incentives and downloadable content that will only be available to registered users of the game, running non-hacked copies, via Rockstar Games Social Club.

Rockstar: You can give the game out to anyone you want, at any point. If you bought the disc version, only the user who currently has the disc in the drive while playing will get to do so.

Can't you read?
Quote:
Will I need the disc in the drive at all times?

Rockstar: To launch and play the GTA IV retail version, you must have GTA IV Disc 1 in the drive. If you want to play without a disk in the drive, you should buy the digital version of the game.

The disk in the drive is to stop u from letting all ur friends and family install and play the game. its reasonable imo. unlimited activations remember.
