Wouldn't recommend it really. I think the Touch Diamond sells for the same price, if not lower, and has a better resolution screen, the device is pretty fast (with the proper ROM) and the interface is much prettier. There is a huge community of devs that release new ROMs daily, and dedicated devs who make apps especially for the Diamond. It's your choice (I had to make the same one), but I think the Diamond is better.

I've been using the Omnia (called I900 Witu here in Russia) for a month - awesome thing, amazing cam, great for watching movies on the go (no recoding needed - just d/l it and copy to phone). The Diamond is just too small. Uber small. I can't type a damn thing on it.

But - and it's a big but - I'd only recommend you if you're skilled with Windows Mobile tweaking. I mean, if your only previous experience is ordinary phones, not smartphones or WM-communicators, you'll be really consfused and even disappointed. But if you know what to install, how to enhance it etc etc it's a marvel.

Every WM will allow you to do this, even the old WM2003 devices.

About screen size, well, I don't know, maybe it is a bit small, but even with my large fingers I type just fine on the compact querty keyboard. And I prefer resolution over screen size any day. Smile

Of course Smile It's just like the regular thing. And like VR said, if you prefer, there are some all-in-one clients that will make it easier for you to have conversations on multiple networks.

The Diamond has 4 GB internal storage, and no SD slots. And my Tom Tom fills about 2-3 Gigz so not much for mp3, videos and photos. Kinda sucks!

Oh and by default the Diamond is SLOOOW as hell! I.e it takes 3-4 seconds to enter sms-writer/reader, even with the newest official firmware.

But iNatan has those un-official ROMS, thought they might break the warranty...

Well, my Diamond is very fast, faster than videos I see even of the retail Blackstone (aka Touch HD) and the Xperia X1. About warranty, sure one could say that, but if you're smart enough, you'll flash the official ROM and say "Oh, I just did a hard reset." Razz

About storage, I agree, it's a problem for those that need it, but for me it's not an issue. I regularly have 2-3 xvid releases, plus all the software I install on it (and some leftovers from previous hard resets), and I still have plenty of room.
