As I always say;
It takes 2 sec to put on a seatbelt.
It takes Much longer to recover and heal again if you get in a serious crash witihout using seatbelt.
I hate you.

Then combine motion sickness and seatbelts garroted into your stomach every few seconds.

THAT is your reason for not wearing one?
motion sickness comes from your inner ear and is easily avoidable if you dont read or play gameboy in a car and instead look ahead and conentrate on where the car goes...
as for being "garroted" by it: the seatbelts are usually pretty adjustable and go over your waist and your chest and shouldnt constrain you too much let alone hog-tie or "garrot" you.
So my guess is you re an abnormally formed hyperactive, gameboy playing child OR you dont really have an argument here (my guess is the later)

That's putting it mildly though, as chances are you'll end up dead or never recover if it's a serious crash as you said.

i know two guys who survived a car-crash ONLY because they werent wearing seatbelts. They were thrown out of the car when they hit a tree before it got totally demolished on a second tree. One lost half his ear, the other has some minor injuries.
But i also know at least one who died because he didnt.

Way to go Lutz, jump to conclusions. I never read, play any consoles or look at still objects while in a car, nor am I underage. I'm wearing seatbelt when on some longer trips, but when there is urban driving involved I try to avoid it. My family has tendency of hardly ever letting of throttle to slow down, and they use brakes instead.
What about people that have papers which allow them to ride without seatbelts?

perhaps you should talk with your family about their shitty driving then? If you dont wear a seatbelt, chances are in an accident that you will kill another person in the car because of it.
The only people i know that are exempt from wearing seatbelts here are police and doctors in emergencies. And even those buckle up all the time, because its safer...

My friend became a traffic cop, and his first case 2 teenagers hadn't been wearing their seat belts, crashed and died. When he got to the scene he said it was a right mess, brains all over the windscreen etc. He realised it was his next door neighbours 19 year old daughter that had been involved.
He said he had to go to their house and tell them their daughter had died in a crash.
2 seconds to put the seatbelt on, wear it, make sure everyone else is wearing it, coz you never know whats going to happen.
