i suposse the the game is based in the comic book:

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack newbies on fire off the shoulder of NFOrce. I watched VIP members glitter in the dark near the PC Gamers forum. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..."

You judge a game by its engine?

Batman: Arkham Asylum Voice Talent Revealed

Mark Hamill is Arkham Asylum's The Joker, while Kevin Conroy is doing Bruce and The Bat:

Batman fans around the world will be excited to learn that Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame and leading television and stage actor Kevin Conroy will lend their voices to the Batman: Arkham Asylum videogame, co-published by Eidos, Inc. and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Known as the voice of BATMAN and BRUCE WAYNE for over fifteen years in various animated films and television series, Kevin Conroy will repeat his role as the CAPED CRUSADER, while Mark Hamill, who is also a veteran of many animated Batman properties, will again star as The Joker in the upcoming action-adventure title.

Featuring an original story penned exclusively for the game by famous Batman author, Batman: The Animated Series writer and five-time Emmy award winner, Paul Dini, Batman: Arkham Asylum, developed by Rocksteady Studios, will launch worldwide on Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Windows PC in the Summer of 2009. With intensely realistic graphics and a gothic, moody and extraordinarily detailed setting, Batman: Arkham Asylum offers diverse gameplay options to push the envelope for all action, adventure and superhero games in the future. Batman: Arkham Asylum exposes players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure taking them to the depths of the ARKHAM ASYLUM.

Five new screens, game looks very dark and gritty, will probably be rather brutal as well.
(Leaving aside the fact that some of the inmates use makeup.)

Probably will be smooth and intuitive on a controller. So glad I have one. Wink

Makes my PC a console!

This game looks incredible. I just hope it isn't 8 hours, no replay and done.

I've never had controlling issues with a game playing it with mouse + kbd. Also never bumped into a situation that is frustrating because of its controls. I just get used to a game's controls no matter others think they're a pain in the ass...

Batman: Arkham Asylum Impressions

In case our enthusiasm isn't already apparent, we were left really impressed with Batman: Arkham Asylum. The savvy script and excellent voice acting are sure to please Batman fans, while the combo fighting system and stealth elements look like they'll be great fun. The game is already looking incredibly impressive visually--hopefully an indication that it's nearing completion in time for its Q2 2009 release window. Eidos has promised us a hands-on with the game in the coming months, so hopefully we'll be visiting Arkham again for a more in-depth look shortly.
