Now sort by ping and join a server thats low ping. Don't let Valves auto join shit find games for you, it joins really slow servers. |
Nice tip, only downfall is with every server i want to connect it gives the msg its not responding and i dont see any ip, or i get steam validation rejected.

do you have the cracked engine.dll copied in the bin folder. I dont get the validation rejected message anymore.

You are correct on hand, but on the other hand, claiming that servers are only meant for legit buyers on a warez board is wrong.

Except that it's true, I don't see how the which forum it's posted on makes any difference to the validity of this statement.

I don't remember any of you guys saying the same stuff in the few games that used The Club keys and practically had free MP... Or in games that were released unprotected. But now suddenly it's wrong. Smells bad.
And it has nothing to do with the quality of the game (for instance, I like L4D and will purchase it at some point). |

i think this has been discussed to death in the past on this board in hundreds of topics. There is no great answer to it either. It looks weird to see people advocating the purchase of a game on a board dedicated to news about the piracy scene (or even hypocritical). But without people buying games, there wouldnt be games at all. So whining about people whining about piracy is just as senseless as well as futile, because as long as there are users who feel they are entitled to everyting for free there will be those that advocate buying games. |

Servers ARE meant for people who buy the game, claiming it on warez or scat porn forum doesn't change the fact that it's true. I don't care about people playing on private servers and people downloading game, I do it too with other games, but they should fuck off from legal servers meant for people who bought the game.
On the other note, I was in a game today where a moron wouldn't heal me coz I was playing Louis guy, which as you know is black. Fucking racists :s

Oh sh*te, there has been a steam client update, ever since the game disconnects when you create a lobby. Too bad they've figured it out...

Yep its a known issue. i have the same problems, what seems to work for me is going to console and type: mat_queue_mode 0 but it still crashes but only once every few hours or so. But now i cant seem to connect anymore cause its says the connection is lost as soon as i host a online game.

Yep, there is some new server-side check that doesn't let non-legit users create a lobby. So you have to do stuff through launch parameters and/or console commands.
Like the -map and the -difficulty command. And of course your "friend" can use the console to connect to your IP. I hope a better solution will be available soon.
P.S.: Which one of the new mods is oversensitive to "name-calling" ? Put me on ignore and do the mojito ...
EDIT: Also, I don't understand why non-legal users "cause problems" for legit ones. I was just hosting a local+friendsonly server and playing with friends. I don't a flying FUCK (<oh no ! banhammer coming a 3rd time?) about the dedicated servers.

Cracked still works fine, but You only have to create servers manualy, not through lobby.

Idiots ! They don't understand that by keeping the stuff for yourself you are in a worse position. Doesn't matter if you've full health, you can get pounced instantly, incapacitated instantly by the witch, caught instantly by a smoker and you can instantly be "hanging" from somewhere etc.
Instantly.
What good will your incapacitated teammates do to you, then ?

sadly, no witch or tank or hunters attacked them... lucky selfish motherfuckers
the worst part is, i couldnt kick them, 2 of the motherfuckers voted no, so i couldnt kick them.
we were on the last level of the mercy campaign, so i still played.... at the near the end i had 10 health, and one of the motherfuckers had 80 health, and a med pack, i ask him for it, and he used on him.......
i died at end when the helicopter reaches the hospital......... and didnt get any achievment......
when the credits roll, i said " go play with bots motherfuckers, if you dont want to play as a team, fuck both of you" i left right after...
damn.............
