BTW you are a little wrong. Took me some time to get all this shit as the public "crack" pages not as fast as normal with this one Smile

RLD crack was rebuild ok. The error is in the cgD3D9.dll and cgD3D8.dll happening depending what card you have. The dlls are original in the game from the 10/2008 pack of CG Tools from developer.nvidia.com.

VTY patched the cgD3D9.dll and is right that it doenst happen with the original but not because the crash isnt there. Its just The error handling engine Securom adds with the protection detects the crash and prevent it from crashing and create normal uncrashed return to windows. So when you remove Securom then the game crashes because the Securom removed also means Securom error handling engine removed. So in that case both groups are right with their statements as it is an gamebug. I wonder what Vitlaity did btw. The reloaded full rebuild is like 200kb and the Vitality rebuild (own nfo statement in the Vampyre release) ist ~9000kb and includes an emulating enigne. Wierd isnt it?
Also VTY did only patch the cgD3D9.dll but not cgD3D8.dll. You can force the same thing when you force the game to use cgD3D8.dll which neither RLD nor VTY touched. So in VTY's point of view there proper is also not proper and misses a patched nvidia developer dll.

Anyway. Its nice to see them more active. Looking at cracks gets boring when there is always a header with Reloaded tags Smile.

Looks like we get a war again. Awesome nice. And still the game is fucked on Vista when using an old nvidia card that uses cgD3D8.dll from nvidia instead of the cgD3D9.dll from nvidia.

If i would be Vty i would have added the patched 2nd dll too just to have more strength against the Rld nfo as they are right for Demo and cgD3D9.dll. Also i would have at least upx'ed the exe like they usualy do to hide what they do and look more "big dick" like.

Same counts for Rld. The Readnfo should have included 2 own patched dll's and a system conf. where the game still crashes with Vty fix e.g. AMD Turion X64, Gforce 5900, Vista 64 Sp1 Home Premium Smile or any Vista 64 system that has cg Toollkit installed and the dll in the addlib regentry.

So at all both groups are super lame as always ... But ok ... we got a new war between groups which will make it funny in the future to read nfo's. (i hope)

Group wars are nice. It's what made the old scene with groups like class, paradigm, origin, hybrid, divine, razor ... intresting Smile

A scene without flame nfos is boring for outsiders like me Smile

I think RLD stated it clearly that they won't fix game bugs which are not critical to the game play. If the game was unplayable due to some bug which gets magically handled by securom, they would fix it.

Groups are not obligated to fix the game bugs, they just have to remove protection layers related to the media/online/debug-checks. That's a scene rule since I was born.

well, my opinion has risen somewhat since the demo..
i really like the art.. looks very nice and oldskool, in a good way
but the puzzles still are obscure and the comedy isn't really resonating with me
so it doesn't beat sam&max seasons for me
i just wish they were drawn like this though..(along with drawn characters)
the 3d look doesn't have the same charm as the original VGA animations had

ViTALiTY should shut a fuck up until they release some good stuff before anyone else. If you want to gain some respect from some of us go and crack Football Manager 2009 or something uncracked. Then I can show some respect.

I'm not fan of any group but crack some real stuff and after that you have few credits for bitching.

Actually i didn't like the humor until a certain constable in a town. Now that was funny. I must say the game is growing on me more and more. It just has that old-school LucasArts feel to it. Mona's voice can get a bit annoying at times but it does fit the character well...

EDIT: Sam&max season 1 was worse IMO... And i don't think the puzzles are obscure.

Just in case you need to know what Vitality did to Hide (found on rls***.net) Smile

http://i34.tinypic.com/2ps4tuo.jpg

Btw. I dont care what or not But in one of the latest games RLD wrote in their startup msg box to notice.txt feater they do if they can Smile and yes i know Hiding <> fixing Shocked

its just my point of view from an outsider and to be honest i have alot of respect to Rld for the Sacred 2 release as finding all!!! trigger/crc checks (and yes i know that its all) is almost impossible if you dont have some fan who would play this game over weeks and a cracking freak who knows the way Ascaron adds them from the past cause they are quiet hidden and spreaded over the files.

Reloaded is simple again the best cracking group. Vitality was good when they only did some SF cracks back in 2005/2006 and just was silent. they need to be silent again and stop doing lame propers. Reloaded way of cracking securom is clearly also superior.

Indeed. I really wish that they waste their bitchin' time rather on Football Manager 2009 than fuckin with each other.

Edit the config?

In the game install folder open the "\game\assets\scripts" directory and find a .bin file with some random numbers in it, should have a more recent date than the other files.

Code:

<options>
   <option name="override_game_state_load_file" value="False"/>
   <option name="light_gui" value="False"/>
   <option name="language" value="english"/>
   <option name="script_gui" value="False"/>
   <option name="high_quality_lighting" value="True"/>
   <option name="dialog_text" value="True"/>
   <option name="preload_actors" value="False"/>
   <option name="override_game_state_load_filename" value="assets/scripts/saved_game.xml"/>
   <option name="full_screen" value="false"/>
   <option name="music_volume" value="10"/>
   <option name="anti_alias" value="True"/>
   <option name="particle_gui" value="False"/>
   <option name="anti_alias_level" value="0"/>
   <option name="anti_alias_method" value="multi-sample"/>
   <option name="run_mode" value="normal"/>
   <option name="resolution" value="1024"/>
   <option name="foley_volume" value="10"/>
   <option name="Voice_volume" value="10"/>
</options>

It's the resolution variable but as you can see there's only one command so instead of that I altered the full_screen variable to run it windowed.
