Is there an easy and small way to get dedicated server to work? Running through steam wants to download 3 gigs when I know its only a few files but theres so many directories to sift through. Well I would love to see a dedicated server release with just the files missing, and in the long run a real no steam proper.
NM this test thing just crashes on level load so a DS wouldn't help anyways. IDK if its just on my end but I wouldn't bother with this nonsense if anyones wondering.

It's not that easy for some of us. Some of us don't pirate games just because we can, unlike others.

Well, I tested a little and it bypasses the "steam validation rejected" error, when pressing cancel searching and it asks you to host a local server.
P.S.: Game rocks, pwns all etc.

Yes we know some of you think they should make full games for half the price just for you.

Actually it's more about how the Orange Box has more content than L4D has and costs like 5 dollars less.
It's a multiplayer game. They didn't spend extra resources crafting a SP experience and the voices, plot, even videos that comes with SP. Put it at like 30 dollars or so.

At least they'll keep supporting the game for years to come, with new content and updates. Don't know about modding possibilities.
But it is expensive damnit.

And if you have a halfdecent paying job 50$ is nothing. So your point is? I pay for my own shit, I work, I don't live at home. Stop making stuff up.
Besides if you don't think it's worth then don't buy it. I don't see why they should make it half the price because you're a cheap bastard.

But I live in a third world country where I have to whore my only daughter in order to purchase a basket of eggs.
I had to sell my two sons to some pharmaceutical company to be experimented upon just so I could purchase this gaming PC.
Don't tell me you would have me sell my only daughter, who provides me with my baskets of eggs, for experimentation as well!?
You bastard!

Seriously though, if you think full price for a multiplayer game is too much you shouldn't buy it since you obviously don't like multiplayer games. You get more out of mp game most of the time so I don't see why it should be half the price.

Call of Duty has both SP and MP. Hence I can still have some fun when not playing online and don't mind shelling out the money.
This game has SP, true, but it's not what we'd enjoy playing by ourselves. Especially so that there is no real campaign.
The point here is the content. Either way you look at it, there's not enough to warrant the price tag.
Also, how dare you make light of my economic situation you prick.

It should've a price tag of 30 USD (or probably less) because there's no justification for a 50 USD one. It's a digital download, which means there's no physical box, manual nor disc.
This method of distribution was originally meant to be used to sell games at cheaper prices due to reduced production costs. Also, there's no real singleplayer, so you're also paying twice as much for half the development costs.

Stop complaining about the price, or if you dont have many money look around the net for a while.
If you looked for the price on steam, you see that it is 49,99 dollar for the game.
If you scrol further down you see that for 149,99 you get 4 coppies of the game.
149,99 / 4 = 37.50 Dollar. If you game more often you just know 3 other ppl that want this game. Let 1 order it, send the copie to each steam account of your friends. and they give you 37.50. saves you some money, and it doesnt take a lot of time to do it.
Im doing this because i live in Holland and the game costs 50 Euro in store (about 65 dollar). And if i do it like this i only sped 30 euro.
Ohja Great game (only played demo)

Why should we stop?
It's a valid argument. I mean, for what they're asking, I expect to have a fancy box and other material that I can collect and put up on display.

'cause arguing about a price is bullshit?
If you can't afford it, you can't afford it.
I've seen people spend a lot more money on a single player game and never touch multiplayer.
This game was designed for multiplayer back when it was announced. No? Soooo.... everyone knew it's just for online. Price is justifiable cause the game is indeed worth it. So the only reason to argue about the price is because you choose not to buy it because you aren't convinced it's good.
I make shit money. I still bought the game. It's worth every penny.

No, obviously.
There's no need to bitch about the price. 50$ is the full price of a PC game, so it only make sense that you pay full price for a full game. If you don't have the money to buy it, then too bad, but we sure as hell don't care.
Oh, and the game is indeed worth every penny. There's no need for proof, because it's my opinion of the game, and I share this opinion with many, many others.
