Game is awesome, works just fine here on q9450 @ 3.2ghz and 8800gt...

but since when did reloaded go back to their ridiculous 40+ mb emulation cracks? Their last few games all had nice small cracks.

its because this is securom and thats how they crack that protection, with the added VM crap.

For some strange reason, starting the game sends a comodo firewall file (cmdagent.exe)
to 100%CPU making for some pretty choppy gameplay. It continues to hog after quitting
Tomb Raider

It can be force quit from task manager tho, so not a big issue.

That may be the issue I was referring to earlier where the game slowed down, I am using Nod32 with Smart Security though, it could be related though?

I cant say for sure, a little digging for my problem revealed a history of problems with
cmdagent.exe. Whether its worth anything or not - I believe this file monitors system
processes for injection attacks and such. RLD has been criticised in the past for building
the emulation into the exe files and this one is 40MB over the 11MB original - so there
could be something to this. (tho I'm no coder - so this is more likely shit) Wink

Try and disable your stuff with msconfig and see how it goes - if your paranoid, just
unplug from the net whilst you test.

this game needs a proper crack. they use the VM method because they're lazy.

this shit fucking sucks

the game gets choppy, as if it's loading. i can't even walk 5 steps before it gets all choppy.

i stand still and look around, and it's choppy. it takes me 30 seconds of looking around before it gets smooth again.

i have 2gb ram, 7600gt.

even on the lowest ugliest setting, it's just as choppy as high setting.

Same thing here... 3800x2, 2gb ram, 7900GT. A friend of mine has the same problem. The shitty part is that the demo runs great.

only played for about 30mins and get 40 to over 100fps most of the time but i did notice one part where if i looked in one direction the fps would drop to 7-10! this was at the two statues that breath fire. there was nothing spectacular to render, just the wall on the far side..

Can't remap the keys on your gamepad ?
Most strange, as I have a generic gamepad (PS controller clone), and it remaps fine.

Is anyone else having problems with the cinematics? They all freeze up for me about 10 seconds in. The sound gets stuck in a loop and the image freezes. I can still skip them though, so the game doesn't freeze.

Is it just me, or is this game much uglier to look at than Legend or Anniversary? I just think that the lighting in this game looks pretty dull (while running the game with everything on high with a 8800 Gts 512 mb card). Or maybe it's the Nvidia 180.43 driver?

Then u should play TR:Aniversary, the excelent design of the levels of the first tomb raider with great GFX, frames and amazing responsiveness of the controls. TR: Legend was bad.(more like shoot the many baddies).

This one its a little bit too much itchy and stucky on the response but has great GFX too (the water is great) but i loved how lara driped water and it shinned before driying,in here theres something on that feature and on the shadows that isnt very well.. but overall seems ok..But not on par of the great Tr:aniversary.
