banned finally...what does it mean "this account is banned". Are they banning live accounts now instead of just the console?

Well some guy take the time to write what they think it´s the cause,with some tech explanation in the middle ,i just say thanks for that.
If i not share his opinion i just say for what and that´s all
Sarcasm it´s just stupid without arguments.
MS release console with hardware failure calculating the losses in fixing it after sales, so anything can be possible.
They have a lots of money they can afford to do this and more.
For me it´s no so crazy

I went to the service site at xbox.com and it lists my console as still in warranty. If I ever need a repair then Im go organise it online.

You can only return your xbox for repair if it isnt banned, i got a console who was banned but in warranty, i called them and they knew i was banned and said that and told me they couldnt repair it, so beware.

If I would get a new, flashed 360, and played Red Alert 3 (pirated) on it, how big would the risk of getting banned be?

Come on guys this is Nforce forum we gotta think outside the box. Here is a method which you can do if your console gets banned. Ive done it twice and it worked like a charm.
1. Buy a (with warranty sticker) RROD xbox 360 from ebay for cheap
-If no warranty sticker, buy a warranty sticker for about $20.
2. Carefully remove the warranty sticker from the outter shell using blowdryer and place it on wax paper for later.
3. Carefully remove the outter shell of the console and remove all the interior content. (YOu have to remove the moherboard from the metal case because the metal case has a serial number on it which matches the outter shell.)
4. Use a heatgun on your banned motherboard and try to get it to have RROD.
5. Put that banned motherboard (including DVD drive and everything) into the new metal case and attach the X-clamps back on.
6. Put outter shell back together and then attach the warranty sticker back on.
And then you call Microsoft and start a new repair and give the serial number of the outer shell. They will never check if the outter shell's serial number matches the motherboards. I can confirm this because Ive done it twice.
Now you ask what do you do with the RROD'd motherboard that you bought? You fix it silly! Most likely itl have error code 0102. Just reflow the GPU, CPU, RAM area and then flash the drive and this will be your new xbox 360. Put this motherboard into your original console metal case and put outter shell back on.
After Microsoft sends you back the other one (probably with a crappy unflashable drive), just sell it. Or keep it for the future. Or it give it away as a gift to someone special!

I actually haven't tried. I currently dont have my ethernet cable plugged in. Il just find out on Wednesday. I see no point in finding out today since we wont be able to connect anyways

ok on to my next rrod repaired 360...what would be a good time to start using it...I dont want to get it banned before this wave is over.
actually I already did what timechange01 suggested. I bought 5 in a lot sale on ebay for 120 bucks. And I have been sending them in one by one for repairs. was lucky to get all of them with their seal intact and unregistered.

I installed the NXE that was available to grab from Rapidshite, so if I connect my hard drive to my brothers Xbox 360 to upload my gamertag score will that install the NXE onto his also.
