well...got it working and i have to say it rocks, nicely paced (different on several playthroughs) gfx are updated since episode 2-use of sound/music set the atmosphere nicely...am glad i have it preordered to be honest

I'm already pretty bored of the demo since I pre purchased the game yesterday. Does anyone know if there will be any kind of stat tracking or progression? I can't imagine this lasting too long after you complete all the campaign missions on expert.

I love this game and i will buy it. but i have a little problem... i live in germany and i want the uncut version of this game...is there a way to get it uncut over steam or something else? ( i'm paying with paypal ).

there are some hidden console commands that allow you to play as zombies, in a bit buggy state, but it works.

ask someone to buy it for on steam and gift it to you , but i am not actually sure if that would change anything 
Or you can buy a cdkey from outside germany, and use it on a (hopefully soon , for you) english/multi release of the game.

There is no way around this. I know a German guy who bought TF2 from UK just so he could play without censorship but once he installed Steam automatically detected that he's German and censored the game for him

Well if it helps, with other Source games you had to set sv_lan=0 and heartbeat to host a server correctly.

I know pretty much all commands since I played counter strike way back, got it working with sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 or something.

well im pretty sure that this game is really moddable. people even played the demo with counterstrike maps

well im pretty sure that this game is really moddable. |
It's compatible with the Source SDK, so yeah, it should be as moddable as any other Source game.
