looks like you'll need to use Realtek's control panel, hopefully they'll have a easy to use menu system.
(Must be some way to alter it, after all 48000 is standard so something has pushed it above that.)

But in the realtek control panel I don't find any option to change it.

Here a screenshot:

Any other ideas?

THX again 4 your help guys especially JBeckman

Maybe dumb idea ?? run dxdiag from command prompt, select sound turn hardware acceleration down to basic or standard from full acceleration...

Took a look thru my control panel for realtek & think I found what you are looking for.
Yours is a little different then mine, from the screenshot, but I clicked on SPDIF and those sound settings are there... 44, 48, 96, 192 K are there to choose from.

"Multiplayer

World at War will have cooperative gameplay with up to two players via split screen on consoles, or four players online, for the first time in the franchise. In addition, the Wii version will also feature splitscreen multiplayer. All console versions of the game will use a perk system similar to that in Call of Duty 4.[3] Activision has also confirmed that vehicles will be usable in multiplayer.[13] Six multiplayer modes have been announced including team deathmatch and capture the flag, among others.[14]

A special online co-op mode involving Nazi zombies is unlocked once the player completes the single player campaign. In it, up to four players must attempt to defend themselves from limitless waves of undead Nazi soldiers. With each kill and successful hit, players earn points that can be used to purchase weapons and fortifications to further defend themselves.[15]"

FYI: Save Games on Vista are here:C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\
You can edit the folder name inside Profiles ($$$) to whatever you want and then replace "$$$" in active.txt with the name you switched to.

finally got to the first russian mission, and its very very similar to the beginning of 'enemy at the gates' yay..

as for the rest, so far the american missions were boring as hell.. the drama of the brave american soldiers heroically fighting their way through jungles and trenches... + the proud US flag waving across the loading cinematics... *yawn*

Do saves carry across cd-keys? If I was to beat this game entirely then buy it when it came out, would I be able to immediately unlock the co-op undead gameplay by transferring an end-game save and beating it really fast?

Are all CoD games are now about the "airplane" level or something? There's one in each game, and it's usually least boring one too -_-

I think that would work, you can transfer saves from one cdkey to another, but everything else profile related (multiplayer progress, ranks) is tied to a cdkey.

Truly a good game. Finished the SP in one sitting, this is really better than CoD4. I had my doubts when they said WW2, but Treyarch really outdid themselves. The US missions are an afterthought though... They probably thought this game is too Russian, and dumbees won't buy it so lets put US and Jack Bauer in there...

ZOMG they killed Jack Bauer! Bastards!

I dont know how you liked the singleplayer. I thought it was absolutely horrible compared to CoD4.

i love the SP so far (not very very far (or ? duno how many missions there are lol) have to destroy 3 mortar positions with my trusty flamethrower. Playing in 2nd hardest, it gets pretty intense most of the time, with bullets flying around my head, grenades all over the place. Really intense.

Is it better then CoD4 ? Dunno , setting is so totally different, but obviously CoD4 is the "father/mother" of cod5 (same engine etc and they did lay the foundation gameplay wise)

So i'd say, CoD4 is better BECAUSE it "invented" it (dont go argue about that point please, only talking about cod4 and 5) and cod5 close second for not ruining it and being close as possible (quality wise) to cod4.

+ i didn't had any crashes or errors or whatever else so far , HA. (for once)

anyway, me loving it p

What CoD4 invented, this has perfected. Very Happy Again, I'm speaking of the SP alone, but I'm sure it's the same with MP.

And the Russian portion of the soundtrack is fucking amazing! The US soundtrack is meh, but the Russian one is just fantastic!

So do I, finally us PC users get a game early and the thread is filled with nothing but bitching.
US missions are alright (the ones i played), but the Russian mission is just excellent, really reminds me of COD 2, and the super cinematic feeling of the COD 4, they copied IW in all the right places. Like running through that burning building with Germans shooting and throwing nades at you, just awesome (kind of like that ship level in cod 4). And then you of course you have the sniper mission, which is also good. The game is very bloody and brutal, which is very suitable.
Also runs good, but id be surprised if it didnt since cod 4 engine was so well optimized.

It is single player, but it's really hard if played alone. It's advertised as coop for a reason.

If you were asking me Leo, yeah they always see you. At first i shot at them and later died so i restarted from that checkpoint, next time i tried to wait but there is one dude who comes to the window and then his dog starts barking at you and jumps inside, which leads them to torching the whole place.
