I just now gave the multiplayer beta a spin, haven't installed the full version yet. While the hunting for achievements and weapon unlocks is still there, the sounds are just aweful. When an airstrike was coming in in CoD4 I heard the immense noise it does and feared for my life. In CoD5 it just sounds shitty... everything does. What a shame.

I have a hd4870x2 , tried it last night and got the water corruption bug on the beach landing, so I disabled AA within the graphics options, no need to disable "dual video cards" then alt tabbed and forced aa within the driver control panel to 4x and it works fine now... water bug gone.

Have you tried disabling your internet connection and then linking to I presume your second PC over lan? This way theres no way it can check online...

The sound is AWFUL. It is actually ruining the game for me. The guns are way too low. You can hardly even hear the handguns. I even tried messing around with the sliders but there is no way to get it "right".
The game isnt as bad as I initially thought but the sound is horrible.

@JBeckman: THX for your (always helpful) hel. I have a Realtek Soundcard. But in the Realtek software I don't find the option to decrease the sound quality. Can you please help me again where to find this option? THX in advance.
/EDiT: To help you people: I use the newest "Realtek Audio Treiber A4.06" driver.

lan against each other works just not coop because it checks online for your key
but i can wait a few days more then i will buy it love to play cod online

eierfeile - I'm starting to wonder if you actually have the same problem as it doesn't seem likely that you've modified the sound card settings.
Control Panel (The windows one, nothing to do with the game settings.), Sound, here you select your sound device and right click and press "properties", go to the advanced tab and check the current setting, most commonly if it hasn't been altered previously it should be 16-bit 48000 HZ but the game will work up to 24-bit 48000 Hz but not above the actual 48000 Hz value. (Advanced cards can output at 96000 Hz and top-end cards like the Xonar/X-Fi can use 192000 Hz without much trouble but you'll have a hard time hearing a difference unless you also have high-quality speakers.)

Why cant i change the output like in cod 4, its stuck at stereo. giving me sound only @ 2 front speakers.
Needed to modify config for 5.1 output, Stupid shit
So far i think cod 4 was better.
COD needs refreshing, What about a fictional story,
We've seen this already.
