A touchy subject to talk about for everyone at some point..

How many of you can see yourself getting married?

What would a woman / man have to do to show you they are 'the one' to marry and what are your experiences of it?

Finding that one person who fits you like a glove who you trust completely is not something easily found in my book; and something that I dont believe can come without some kind of price.

Love and trust are two very different things; one can only be truly felt by two people, the other is possible to feel by one alone. Both can be broken, but only one can truly be patched up IMO...

So, Marriage. The question. The ring, the vow, the ceremony.

Yay? or nay?

Discuss.

well, i guess i should have known that some of the homophobes had to comment on it.

Did you know that there is some scientific evidence that the most homophobe are most likely to find gay sex images arousing?

you = closet homosexual?

fighting homosexuality is futile , lol like taking away their right to marry will prevent them from doing what they do? lol they've existed for thousands of years even massive genocide is useless since further generation will have a percentage of gay ones
rather learn how to deal & live with that part of society

No way if I can help it. For the same reasons that I dislike long-term relationships: You always have to compromise, you always lose a part of your freedom that you'd have if you were alone.

It's usually the women who want to marry anyway. So I bet in at least 50% of marriages you get married just to get the bitch to shut the fuck up. I couldn't care less.

probably because women are more home-natured, they naturally want to build a nest and secure a partner. Although not all are baby lovers. My GF isnt a baby person luckily, as I am not either.

very odd stuff indeed marriage, bit of paper and a shed load of money on a big event just to say to the world you really care for this person? Shit i dont need a bit of paper for me to believe in that.. Neither does the woman really, its just another "oh noes I must have this big original white wedding as everyone else does it " etc

Plus that bit of paper these days fucks you over if your hormonal lady decided she wants a diff cock stuffed up her at anytime.. mostly ends up 70/30 split to her if she wants pursue more than she deserves lol..

Complete crud, and Ill opt out of that thankyou very muchly..

Not all girls tho, some want to be free and explore the world. Lots of chicks who don't want to settle too.

thanks guys. not much of a story to tell really .. it was just getting close to the time where I needed to 'either shit or get off the pot' Wink I'm starting to get old (almost 30 FFS!) and I want to start a family sometime soon. Tbh, I was most worried about the wedding costing too much damn money, but so far costs have been contained and we've already booked almost everything (so far not quite @$4K)

I posted pic a couple months ago in the VIP forum, but this is the ring I bought for her...
