Kerry did win by popular votes but 75% of people dont know the idea of electoral college
but then again 95% of the statistics are made on spot

Considering that a good majority of the population vote on the party they have always voted for and not the canidate directly.. I definatly beleive mccain could win after going to the booth today. The fact that mccain is listed as both republican, conservative, and independent is rediculous. He isn't conservative at all. Nor is he much of an independent. Yet - He is listed in those blocks. The bottom line is that mccain is listed in more blocks then obama is.

If that were true, Gore and Kerry would have been President instead of Bush.
Yeah, that didn't happen. The bottom line is that many voters will vote for the same party they always have. They could care less.

No. There are a variety of reasons Gore and Kerry lost, foremost being that people thought Kerry won early, and were too lazy to drag their asses to the polling place. And as for Gore... well that's been beaten to death. Voting machine configuration had little to do with it.

Polls before the election in 2000/2004 showed Bush with a lead. Obama had double-digit leads in some polls. This isn't even a competition, just a media circus as usual. When Obama wins Florida and Ohio, it's over.
