Yeah, I'm the same, prefer arrow keys as I can feel my way round in the dark. And recently chnaged to a low profile keyboard so WASD is pretty much unworkable now even if I wanted to make an exception.
Keyboards just too flat and gaps between keys too narrow to be sure where your fingers are.

Languages: ENG \ FR \ DE
while the other rls that was floating around and everyone played it with darkcoder crack :
LANGUAGUES: English, Russian, Hungary, Czech, Polish
so i guess RLD version is CUT ( as there is a German language in it ) and the other one (which everyone here played) is UNCUT ?
any one confirms this?

Probably RLD is UNCUT. In DE lots of UNCUT versions are sold.

i press to fire the shuttle, and then it asks me to to release the shuttle... but the other console is in "orange mode", cant use it......

I just managed to fuck up my level 5 Imposible save when I switched from Darkcoder to Reloaded crack(makes me really pissed at the fucking pointless popup notice that appears when u run the reloaded exe).
This is what happened:
I continued from were I left off(without making a save game backup of course) and had made only one save for the imposible setting. I noticed that the enemies from regen necromorph chase scene we're shit easy to kill again(as all enemies on medium settings) and overwrote my only save on the imposible setting(yeah I know...but I didn't expect such a fuckup). Surprise...the game had reverted to medium setting after all that adrenaline pumping, no ammo, low on health, well earned experience.
What I've learned from this -> the wise words: IF IT AIN"T BROKE DON"T FIX IT come to mind. I hope other people learn from my mistake and don't go through the same shit I'm going through now and either use the Darkcoder or Reloaded crack and stick to it.
Great game btw and for those who wan't to try this game I recommend you play it on Hard at least, to get the true horror experience. I'm not saying I'm a hardcore gamer but on the medium difficulty it was shit easy -> started selling surplus ammo and medkit before the first half of the game making the second walkthrough with the level 6 armor useless on the same difficulty level.

I heard from several people that savegame difficulty bugs and changes from hard to medium when they press "continue" instead of loading the savegame. Is that an official bug or is it darkcoder´s crack? maybe rld´s exe fixes that.

Perhaps..but this isn't the first time I used the continue on impossible(at least from what I remember). If there're a way to revert the settings please share it with us.

Predator_Soul... wtf, why the hell you used the rld crack? ...
the darkcoder rls is non scene, the relodaded is a scene rls, thats the difference....thats why reloaded released dead space.
Why there are still questions about this subject???? if the game has bugs, it doesnt have nothing to do with the crack......
now pay from your mistakes....

OMG! Shoot the limbs like the game tells you like 1000000+1 times....... I am playing second run on impossible, finished hard already.

the fact that it is EN/FR/DE tells me its the version for
UK, France, Switzerland, Austria (and eventually other anglophone countries)

just finished today , dead space... what a great game!
best horror game i played ever for pc, well ballanced in terms of difficulty, great graphics, great sound , decent story, great gameplay.
final score : 9/10
im surprised , ea made a great game, didnt find any bugs, and i hope theres a sequel for this one...or prequel...
some thougts about the story

im damn glad the traitor bitch died at the end ! she was a bitch, not only was a lier, it was a big bitch by showing at the end , and only at end the full length video of his wife.....
i already knew that he was seeing visions, i never believed to be real his wife...
the big twist that got me by surprise, was the traitor bitch, never think in anytime she was a traitor....
great game..
