Hey guys, I really just can't find the motivation to put this game back in... I played through the very beginning and just can't seem to get back into it.
So here's the deal, I'm abusing my mod powers to add a poll to see how you all feel about it easier than poking through 17 pages of comments. Need to know if I should get back in there. ;P

As Ive said before, Fallout 3 was just to keep us busy until the real wave of games (dead space, Farcry2, Fable2, GoW2) came out.

I just can't get into this game. Im not excited about it as I was before. I guess Ill have to wait for it to be modded on the PC or something because Im just not feeling the useless missions in this game.

I was hooked after playing at my friend's place. So I'm still hyped to buy it. We got a 24 hour walmart here, do you think they'd sell it at midnight?

Still playing it, though its obvious how much Oblivion-esque feeling it has. But enjoying it so far and still looking forward to get close to the White House.

Doesn't mention Canada, and I doubt anyone in this buttbackward city even knows what a fallout shelter is let alone Fallout the video game. Still...my fingers crossed I'll get lucky at wal-mart. Haven't been able to get through to electronics though (though I'm not surprised, they usually only staff one person there, and they're never manning the phone.)
-edit- surprise surprise! The shift supervisor had to bring the stock from the back, but I wasn't the only one waiting to buy it. Played a bit, but I better try to get a couple hours of sleep before work. Yikes!

Yes the Global release.
btw I was very surprised when I found out that the game looks much worse on Xbox 360. The PC version looks so much better. The difference is really huge. PC version has much more detailed textures and more bump mapping and specular effects and it just looks a lot sharper. I wonder why. That's not exactly the norm nowadays. Also, Oblivion had a crappy looking PC version.

I didn't think the difference was that significant, what TV do you have?

I think this was a great idea, with the Votes. Thumb up for that idea. Maybe we should have some standard options that we could have in other topics in the future.

finished it yesterday..
all i can say: GOTY'08.. at least for me
this is one of those games that you will remember for years to come despite its many shortcomings.
if you can take your time to appreciate a game, this one is a must!
however, keep in mind that it's NOT a shooter!
..it really tied the room together

Man, exploring in this game is fantastic! I'll be finishing up a quest or what not, and something will invariably grab my attention, eg:
| Spoiler: | I had solved Prime's riddle in the Museum of Tech and got Jiggs' share of the loot. Also a note saying to meet Prime back at some diner. So off I go, and I find a corpse full to the brim in caps and gear. Got a sweet named chinese assault rifle (Xuanlong?) that does 56 dmg. Too bad I have trouble finding chinese rifles to repair it with. So with that wrapped up, I mosey on down the road and catch a glimpse of an old railway...so out of boredom (more RP boredom than actual reality lol) I start following the tracks. It wasn't long before I notice they seem to go through a rocky valley. And then the mines start going off. Ooooo what ever could be hidden in this valley?? Picked off some sentry Raiders, and then find myself entering what appears to be an old jail area, with a bunch of slaves locked up. The best part? The raiders managed to capture a Behemoth! And they had him locked up in some electrified pen! Well I didn't notice this at first, and because of my high stealth and the fact it was night, I had silently killed off every raider. I want to redo it now though and just release the behemoth and watch the carnage!! Lol. Oh well. I'm going back there with my Fat Man and nuke that fucker  |
Seriously, you could just putz off in any direction and you're bound to find awesome shit to do. I love this game!
