Since it connects to Live I would say yes.
I guess the only differences are the origin and languages.

You can't run through the second series of 3 at once. Stop before the last one then continue.

Can any1 confirm whether it is safe to play the new PAL release on live? (I mean while I'm signed in to live you know) I have 1.4.x fw so it should be safe, shouldnt it? If it is risky then I'll leave it untill the actual release day. I don't wanna get banned.
Thanks,

What iXtreme FW you got doesn't matter that much really. When the next banhammer strikes noone knows who will get banned.

One question I have, although I enjoyed this game a lot; I can't help feeling that there isn't too many places for the design to go without big changes...
I mean, because the design is dependent, for the most part on fixed size rectangular objects in closed arenas, there aren't too many ways you can dress this up without the experience seeming like you've played it before...
Can't see them being able to rinse and repeat sequels that consistently score 9s, irrespective of the production values and cinematic design because in terms of what you are actually doing, it boils down to the same game at the end of the day..

I totally agree. It's actually strange that no one asks the ultimate question: umm, we were shown A LOT of technical novelties in the pre-pre-something trailer like the liquid physics, the massive locust crowds etc etc. WHERE are all those things? Liquid? Aye, in the final scripted movie. Locust crowds? Umm... yeah, there were a few in the Brumak ride sequence... like a dozen locusts.
So where's all those features presented as an ultimate advancement over the old concept? Where....?
P.S. the game still scores a steady 9/10 from me anyway but LOL at the promises

Next time you boot up Gears, get your guy to sprint to a block and use it as cover, then move the LS left then right...
For some reason I get big time Deja Vu.... Kind of spasmodic reactive animation..

Look closely at the textures of walls for example, you'll see how shitty they look.
This game relies on post-processing to looks good.

Why the heck would anybody be starring closely at a wall in Gears of War? Everything looks awesome as you're playing. I don't think this game was intended for zooming into walls and looking for flaws.

Fan boy. There's no denying that most UE3 games have horrible textures, including this.
I'm not saying that this game is bad, just that the textures are.

Well consoles have a limit in polys an textures ,do you mean the resolution?
For me its one of the few that look good along Dead Space.
I don't like very much the art in gears specially the fact that god and bad guys look like wrestling guys.
Engines are defined mainly by hardware more in textures terms, you can´t have 4096*4096 textures in all assests in consoles.
