Have to agree with Mutantius, generic trailer. Replace Bond with any other action hero and you could use it to promote any action movie since it doesn't contain anything specific to this film.
I do believe in the movie though. Casino Royale was the first watchable Bond film since Goldeneye (although Daniel Craig as Bond sucks Hilterjugend-balls ).
James Bond's trademark - allways cheesy humor and double entendre one-liners - have been replaced by a lot of frenzied chasing, leaping from immense heights and brutal bloody brawling.
There is so much running around in the first half of "Casino Royal" that it felt like a Jackie Chan movie.
Good I dont feel so bad if I say I enjoyed Dalton as bond as well. Not the worse but he wasn't bad either. And this movie is going to rock. Daniel Craig as a more action Bond was a good choice. Who gives a flying fuck if he has blue eyes as opposed to brown. Dont discriminate bunch of racist bastards. He did good in Royal i'm sure he can hold his own on this one.
These old/new Bond comparisons are not really valid since there was a very clear shift after Pierce Brosnan. The Bond movies coming out now are a kind of re-imagined version by people who thought it was time to go a different way. I was never a fan of the old cheesy bond but this new one isn't so great either. Too much (obvious) effort has been put to make him a more politically correct (more with the time kind of crap) Bond. Jason Bourne wannabe.
Watched Casino Royale again lately (5th time i think) - Craig fucking owns. I respect Connery for being the first Bond and Brosnan just cause i like the guy. However i think Craig is the best so far. And Casino Royale is one of my fav 007 movies.
Exactly. Some of his more recent (and more mature and serious) roles have been fantastic. He's just too much of a playboy in the Bond movies, that somehow doesn't seem to fit the whole superspy feel.
