As far as I know (only seeing my Son play it on the Xbox) Liam Neeson plays your dad in the beginning of the game. Not sure if they used his voice for other stuff.

Devs should drop the idea that big names sell games and they should start investing in unknown talent. Or am I in the minority? Do games really sell more because mister bigname has two lines in it? To clarify, I'm glad Liam Neeson has a voice in it, but I would like it more if the money was invested in someone with more talent in voice-acting. I doubt Beth paid Neeson only a nominal fee.

The following is info about LIam Neeson's role as the players charecter, it contains info about the story so don't click unless you really don't mind that kind of spoiler.
Spoiler: |
he plays your dad until he's killed by the enclave at the water purifier. |

I agree, i loved the older rpgs with voices you didnt recognize from the silver screen/tv. In Oblivion whenever the emperor and martin septim spoke I thought of the actors. Kinda destroyed the immersion.
Hire some talented voice actors and let them do the majority of voices.

It seems to me that part of why theres these big name actors in Bethesda games lately is because of Todd Howard wanting to meet and work with these people.
I remember him saying something along the lines of "... Now I make video games and people look up to me, and I get the chance to work with talent like Terance Stamp, who played General Zod!. I remember when I played with my Brother as a child I always wanted to be General Zod!, or Todd haha..."
When they did the behind the scenes for Oblivion.

Whats the quickest easiest way of getting a working key? Just buying a cheapo version of the club then using that?

Adding to the above by Geforce8 I'd guess they'll use Live! for stuff like achievements and similar, later versions are quite OK but the early versions had issues.
(GoW losing saves and similar problems, didn't get those myself but I played it trough pretty quickly.)

Apparently the game ends when you complete the mainquest, so don't do that unless you're really sure you don't want to play that world anymore.

No i dont think u can do that i mean , that quest is like the quest from stalker Kill Strelok , or Kill the jackal from fc2 , u must play all game to get to that quest , mission etc .. it cant be so fast
But anyway , we need a clone and that's all

I'm pretty sure they're grabbing the retailers balls this time. If they let one copy go, they'll have to pay a HUGE fine.
Also, the protection used in this one must be pretty basic, mostly a dvd-check and maybe an activation through Windows Live Games, obviously not as intrusive as Securom.
/Speculation
I played the game like 4 hours in Xbox, I'm a big fan of the series and I can tell you that some things in the game feel really like fallout, some others feel like Oblivion (you'll remember my words), specially because of one faction.
I hate play FPS on consoles, that's why I stopped.

i also played it on x360 - game is out sinte 2 weeks - today retail image hit net
about game - it start as very long tutorial
some kind of flashbacks during you create your character
graphics - console/PC wont be much different - just like oblivion
quests - you have main story and sidequests - on map there can be pointer that guide you step by step, AI enemy try to kill you in all possible ways
controls --- like above i hate FPS on xbox pad ....

What? There are many mods for PC version of Oblivion that enhance GFX a great deal.
C2D E6750 @ 3.2Ghz, 4GB 800MHz DDR2 4-4-4-12, GeForce GTX 260 c216 OC 896MB, 3.2TB, Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Xbox 360 Elite, PS2 Slim, Xbox

Even without a editor you'll be able to unpack the files and edit those directly, unsure how the file layout is though but I guess NIF files for models and DDS files for textures.
(Probably similar to Morrowind and Oblivion, unsure if there's a main "ESP" or "ESM" or similar data file though, won't know until I have the game.)
EDIT: Probably a BSA archive as well but most likely updated, unpacker shouldn't be problem. (Model format is probably also updated but NifSkope should be compatible within a few weeks if active development continues.)

Nice, ofcourse they'll probably need a updated unpacker as Morrowind also used BSA files and the unpacker there couldn't handle Oblivion as the format had changed. (Support for compressed textures and sound data if I remember some of the things that were altered correctly.)

GeForce8, To be honest it felt WAY to similar to Oblivion, with guns.
The graphics are pretty cool, insane draw distance but some textures are way to muddy, like Oblivion...
Quests, actually I think the game as a few quests only, every time you completed a quest you received an achievement, so there can't be 300+ achievements, no?
VATS, it's pretty cool and you MUST use it, the weapons are inaccurate as fuck and aiming with the Xbox controller is not easy (for me that's it). Melee it's broken, the enemies are pretty stupid (it must be because of the radiation) they tend to rush you. Supermutants are pretty cool but they appear early on in the game and you can kill them easily most of the time, something unthinkable in the first ones.
Controls, pretty normal to be honest, I'm just not to good with the sticks, especially on fps, the PIPboy seemed pretty cool, but I can heard the PC gamers complaining about the interface, it's too crammed, Items don't have a description and also, clothes give you stat bonuses, that's fucking stupid if you ask me.
Wearing a doctor outfit helps me to heal faster and better

That's an awesome collectors edition. Did they decide not to do that Pipboy clock thing, or was that with another edition?
